How to transport backless booster seats on plane?

We were able to get 2 backless booster seats for our kids to use in the rental car next week. The only problem I have is I can't figure out how to transport them on the plane. They are too bulky to fit in the duffel bags that I have. DH and I will each have a carry-on bag as well as one for the kids plus the 2 kids and the stroller (which we will gate check) I should mention that we have no intention of bringing these back home so just getting them there is the problem.

Anyone have any simple/inexpensive solution? I'm thinking of stopping by the thrift store to see if they have any duffel bags but these things are pretty bulky! Should I just put them in a box :confused3

TIA :flower:

We checked ours in a duffel bag. We also curb-checked our car seat, and the porter had a bag for it there...maybe your booster seats would fit in that bag? Although you won't know until you're at the airport already...maybe you can just check them without a bag, if they don't fit in the bag that the curb-side check-in provides?

Good luck!

Thanks for the advice!

I actually just found a box big enough to hold both of them (barely!) I figure if the airlines lose or break them then they will have to pay the rental fee thru Alamo for 2 seats.

Worked fine last year, plan on doing it again when we fly out on the 3rd. We gate checked the stroller and the backless booster, was NP. And going through the airport I just hung the backless booser off the back of the stroller, worked perfectly.

Good Luck.

We've put our backless boosters (2) in a large trash bag taped closed for air travel. We've probably done that for at least 20 flights, and our boosters have always arrived in fine shape.

Our boosters have backs, so I bought car seat travel bags for them so I can check them with the luggage.

That is actually a great idea! Thanks! I think I will do that instead of the box!
