How to train your mouseketeer

Yes! Great job adding the park day! Are you soo excited to say "next month!"??

Plans sound good! Connor is soooooo cute! I'm sitting here smiling at my computer screen because of your adorable son! (Sorry if I sound really weird!) Can't wait for more!

lol not weird at all, thanks!!!

Yes! Great job adding the park day! Are you soo excited to say "next month!"??

there are no words, i'm doing the happy dance for the extra day and for being so close!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

Just upgraded from a 6 day park hopper to a 7 day park hopper:woohoo:...I'm one happy camper. If only, I could add more nights on to our stay! Gosh, I wish I could. In one year and 4 months, I will have been employed with my company for 5 years, which means I get an extra week of vacation added to my benefits. I can't wait!!!!! One could only venture a guess what that extra week will be used for:lmao:

Yay!! An extra week of vacation will be fabulous!

Guys, I can't bring myself to PTR about my last day in Disney. I just never want it to happen!!!

Maybe I'll do it this coming Monday. But for now, my countdown is 54 days!!!

I upgraded our park hoppers from 6 to 7 days, and it was only a $10.66 difference, which was even less than what I originally expected. How can you beat that? 10.66 total for TWO park hoppers, not even 10.66 for each, thats total! Gosh I love Disney. :lovestruc

I also bought one way of our plane tickets today! Plane tickets have gone up drastically since this time last year, so I couldn't afford to take the hit all at once. In addition to increasing rates, this is the first time I've been required to buy three round trip tickets instead of two. Conner was a lap child the past two trips.

I prefer southwest because they don't charge for bags, and you can switch your trip around free of charge, but their earliest flight in the morning was $10 more per person than Airtran, and I just couldn't bring myself to do it. Checking bags is always nice, but it's not a necessity. I guess JR and I will get a little arm workout on September 28th!

The good thing is, Southwest has good prices on their flights coming home, so if I can book it soon enough, I should be able to fly home on Southwest. If I had to carry our bags anytime, I would rather do it on the way down, because I'm sure we will be exhausted come October 4th.

Non Disney: We are going to Ocean City this weekend!!! (Maryland) I'm super excited because we usually go at the end of July every year, and because of funds and some other things, I wasn;t expecting to make it this year. But we're going!!! We would usually go from Friday morning to Monday night, and this time we're only going from Friday night to Sunday night, but hey, its better than nothing!!!

Pictures to come on Monday, have a good weekend everyone!

49 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm doing the happy dance!:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

On a sad note, I have to push back buying our airfare coming home a few weeks:sad1:

Long story short, I live in a nice neighborhood, but I have one set of TERRIBLE neighbors. It's a couple with two kids, but the man isn't their dad. The man and lady are constantly having police called on them, or calling the police on eachother over random stuff, but primarily because they take illegal prescriptions.

I came home the other day and the icky couple had parked their car in my parking spot (I live in a townhouse development, and spots are labeled), so I parked in their spot because the guest spots were full. Well, guess who came outside the next morning to find their tire had been slashed? Yours truely.

At first, I thought the icky neighbors did it, but come to find out, they parked in my spot because someone had just slashed their tire a few days ago. Needless to say, I've come to the conclusion that whoever is out to get the icky couple thought my car was theirs (since I did park in their spot), and slashed my tire meaning to hit their car. Either way, it's wrong, and I'm both livid and really upset. I have really nice all terrain tires, so even with my warranty giving me a discount, two new tires is going to run me about $300. :sad2:

On the bright side, Conner is scheduled to start back up at his old daycare which we both LOVE, either this Monday or the following Monday. This lifts a huge weight off of our shoulders because JR and I aren't huge fans of the current daycare, and neither is Conner.

When life hands you lemons, make lemonade.

Seriously joining in on this dance!!

:dance3::banana::cheer2:

Sorry about your neighbors. Is there anything you can do about the tires through your HOA or lease or whatever? Shouldn't your neighbor get penalized for parking in your space?

That stinks about the tires! What crazy neighbors though...44 days!! :cool1::banana::cool1::banana: Is Connor getting excited?

Nothing I can do, I tried to go through insurance and I would have to pay a large deductable. I wouldn't even know where to begin with getting them into trouble for parking in my spot. I think I'm just going to have to wipe my hands of it and move on:sad1:

It stinks, but I've got more important things going on that need my attention, like disney:thumbsup2

Conner is still pretty young, so I'm not quite sure he understands. I've been telling him for months that we are going to see Mickey, but he doesn't really have the concept of time yet, so he probably doesn't believe me anymore lol It will be exciting to see his face when we finally walk into MK though!

43 DAYS!!!!

I got a new phone-its the droid incredible 2. YAYY!!! I'm finally joining in on the 21st century!!! lol

And guess what my first application was?!?!? Disney World ride wait times!!! duh!!!

43 days! I can almost smell the cookies at Pop:cloud9:

42 days!!! I can't believe my countdown is almost in the thirties, less than a month and a half now. And gosh do we ever NEED this vacation.

I feel like the entire world wants money from me, between having to replace my tires, this wedding i'm in, JR's kids moving back up, school, and regular bills...I just want to run away from it all and move into the Cinderella suite. AND. NEVER. LOOK. BACK.

What I would do to stay in that suite!!!

Are they still picking one family per day?

Some pics of our OC trip-yes the rides are a bit scary, but it's OC, MD, definitely no Disney World lol

So I know this looks 100 years old and scary, but this was my favorite ride when I was Conners size. The track is oval shaped, and when you go around the corners, it whips you pretty hard. I was really nervous that Conner wasn't going to like it, but the first whip and he started cracking up. It was one of "those" moments-moms you know what I'm talking about lol

I measured Conner again the other day and the little beast has hit his first growth stunt yet. He has been the same height since May, so I think we will have to hold off on Splash until next year.

After reading your update yesterday you inspired me to get the Wait Times App! :) So now I'm obessing over checking the wait times. I even texted my friend who is at WDW right now and was asking if the wait times were correct and telling her how crowded it looked!

I'm starting to stress a bit now about packing and organising all the last min things. Sept brings the begining of Pre-K for DS and I'm sure the last few weeks will fly by once that starts!

Which app did you download? The one I mentioned yesterday is VERY convenient when you want to access wait times, but that is all it does. It's called Disney World by Undercover Tourist.

After I downloaded that app, I saw a commercial on TV for a completely different app that even has a listing of what characters will be out that day and where they will be. I havent played with the new one yet, but it's seems pretty neat so far. This one is called Disney Parks.

Aside from the disney apps, I downloaded a few more for my DS to play with on the plane/in line for rides. So far I have a Xylophone, wildlife animals (flashcard type deal), kids doodle (AWESOME coloring app!!!), fruit memory game, and an ABC game. Hopefully they help us out in those lines we can't get fastpasses for!!!

I wouldn't stress about organizing/packing, if anything you should hype yourself up because that means your trip is THAT much closer. Just keep up on your laundry so you don't have to wash too many clothes last minute, and you will be fine. I got so over excited to take my DS on our first trip that I packed him WAY too early. Like I had to take clothes out for him to wear, wash them, and repack.....a couple of times lol I try not to overpack because when you have a little one, it's overwhelming with the bare essentials. Always remember, there are laundry facilities on site. :laundy:

Almost there!!!:cool1:

So usually we would have a rental car when we visit Disney with my mom, but that was an extra expense that a) I can't really afford, and b) its unnecessary with the Disney transportation. The only reason it's really affecting us is because I normally get some snacks/drinks for our room from Target or Walmart, but with no car, I thought that probably wasn't going to happen.

Then I remembered a lot of people have talked about having groceries delivered to their room!!!

I was going to google delivery options, but I figured I would have better luck on the disboards, and of course I did!!! If you click the link below, you can read the thread that gives you two different options for grocery item delivery. And I'm all over it. While yes, everything is more than my local grocery store, it is LESS than Disney. So I've decided we will order enough food to eat breakfast in our room in the morning, which will save us money AND time. If we eat in our room, we won't have to worry about getting stuck in the food lines, then waiting in line to pay? yuck.

I have a collapsable (sp?) cooler that I'm bringing with me so we can keep milk and a couple of other perishables cold. So far, I've decided to order:

-milk
-juice boxes
-cereal
-bagels
-maybe a couple of doughnuts?
-fruit snacks

And I need ideas for some snacks to bring into the park for Conner. I don't want to order too many perishables for obvious reasons...so advise away please:thumbsup2

I dont expect to spend over $50 on all of this stuff, and if we were to buy breakfast every morning, that would be an easy $20/day. So I definitely feel good about the decision to order food to the room. It stinks that we don't have a mini fridge, but my cooler will make due (or do?)

41 DAYS!!!!

I'll have to check out those apps. My DS is addicted to angry birds and he will prob play that for the whole 2.5hour plane ride!

As for the snacks-I usually bring cheerios (I take the bag out of the box), goldfish, breakfast cereal bars, and I don't know if your DS does peanut butter but those packages of pb crackers are always a hit. The cheese with the sticks to dip are good for travelling too.

My sister is partial to fruit snacks, so those might be an option...or fruit loops...I don't know what Connor likes and doesn't like, but raisins or crasins (I'm not sure if that's how you spell it...) might be a good option.

The only thing you listed that I don't usually buy is the cheese with the sticks, so I'll grab some of those. I wanted to try to get something different since we would be in Disney, and the same old stuff isn't fun. Not that my 2 yr old DS would know the difference, but in my mind little things like this matter lol Thanks:goodvibes

Conner likes everything you mentioned, and we don't always get craisins so they will be a special disney treat for him. thanks:goodvibes

All of our plane tickets have officially been bought. Our trip is officially paid in full. AMEN!:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

And even though I waited until almost the last minute, I think I got half way decent prices (at least judging from how they have been fluctuating in the past couple of months).

We are taking airtran to MCO because Southwests earliest non stop flight was $117 each way, and airtrans was $88...so that's a no brainer. While we won't be able to check our bags, we also saved an arm and a leg, so JR will just have to get a little work out that morning :thumbsup2 Conner is a big boy, so he can carry his own suitcase and back pack:lovestruc

I can't wait to wake up this morning and be disney bound, the thought gives me butterflies. I was able to talk my grandfather into waking up super early to drive us to the airport, which is SUPER nice because that saved us another $75 and we won't have to leave our car in a parking lot for a whole week. Our flight leaves at 7:00 am, so in a perfect world I would like to be at the airport by 5:45 am, which means we would need to leave my house by 5:30 am. Yes, I live very close to the airport, which is always nice for those early Disney flights :thumbsup2

When we were driving to the airport for our last Disney trip, it was dark, foggy, and POURING rain. And I ran over a snake..EEK!!!! I never saw it, but JR swears to this day that I hit one.

**************I just thought of something...this is the first year Conner has technically had his own seat, should I bring his carseat for the plane? Will the airline let me? And will it fit? Hmm...

Our flight home leaves at 7:10 pm, so since Orlando is a bit more work to get to the gate, I would prefer to be there at 5:40, AND NO SOONER! lol (BOO! I dont even want to think about this day, but unfortunately it will come...) We arrive home at 9:10 pm, so I expect to get home around 10 (I plan on checking luggage on our way home). My grandparents are picking us up this night too. But lets not think about this day anymore, lets think about September 28th, which is only 36 days away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We're almost at the one month mark....but wait, would that happen at 31 or 30 days? Eh, who cares. 36 days people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

happy dance, happy dance:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:
