I've googled but not getting any good answers...so I come to my Dis Friends :)

My niece worked at one of those hip expensive natural ingredient body care store in NYC. She gave me a lot of body lotions, which i really like...the problem? the lotion comes in a 12 oz hard plastic bottle with a dinky little flip top sprout. It is very thick lotion and when the bottle is new, the lotion will come out through the sprout with hard squeeze. But after a while, it is very hard to get the lotion out. I feel like I use half of the bottle and the rest is dried up or it just wont' come out. I've tried to transfer the lotion to a different bottle but even to squeeze it out is a pain. I thought of cutting the bottle with an electric knife but afraid the little plastic bits and dust will end up in the lotion. I also thought of getting a jar, transfer as much as i can, then thin what's left in the bottle with soemthing and mix all in the jar, but I don't know what to use to thin and if it will make the lotion turn bad? Guess I'm just trying to find a creative way to use the lotion without throwing out 1/2 the bottle. I currently have about 10 bottles left :rolleyes1

So creative DISers...any idea?

TIA

Have you tried a tool to get it out like a wrench or pliers? Even a hammer maybe?

If it is dried up then I would toss it and not try to thin it.

I put drops of essential oils like lavender in my lotion and shake it. Works great for me.
