how to Surprise your kids

I have a co-worker who is taking her daughter to WDW in August for her birthday...she's in the middle of brainstorming how to share the good news.

How did you surprise your kids with the good news?

We recently surprised my little cousins. We had them over for pizza, then had a treasure hunt with Disney-esque clues printed using Disney font, and the final clue led them to a little Disney quiz about movies and the parks (this is their first trip so they were complaining about not knowing things). But we told them if they got the Bonus question correct, they would get a 100% on the quiz. The bonus question was, "Who's going to WDW in January?" and listed each of them and "all of the above".
So there's was plenty of build-up, but they still didn't really get it until right then. It was so much fun for all of us!
