So my wife has never been to Disney. I took our tax return from this year and, without her knowledge, used it to book a 7 night trip in September. She currently has no idea (I am praying Disney doesn't send anything in the mail in the f=near future). Any creative ideas how I can suprise her?

PS- I am the one in charge of the money and am a tight-wad. I am 99.9% sure she will not be upset

How about give her a Disney Precious Moment figurine...Find a cute Disney card....write inside that you couldnt think of anything more magical than taking your precious wife for well deserved quality time at the happiest place on earth.

Something very similar to this turned very very ugly a month or so ago on here. I think its an awesome suprise though. I would recommend you tell your wife ASAP that way if she has any problems with it you can still cancel/ammend your trip dats as needed. The precious moments idea is cute, I also like a huge box of balloons that will float when opened out w/ a card attached to strings w/ an invitations to Disney trip on them.

Awwww what a romantic idea...I would LOVE for my DH to do something like this...BUT...

I am a CONTROL FREAK lol..and if I wasn't informed right away...I think I would be a bit upset LOL....maybe this is why he says he can NEVER surprise me..and gets mad when I tell him he doesnt do anything spotaneaous LOL

I think it's so incredibly sweet of you!

I'm wondering what happened with the other situation that was mentioned. That's a bit scary to me since I'm also planning a surprise trip for my husband for February 2011 (his 50th birthday). I'm afraid he might be upset about the money being spent. I'm saving it all from my own hard-earned paycheck, but still... I can see him saying "we could have used that money for (fill in the blank)".

I sure hope he see the fun behind it all. He has only been to the Magic Kingdom once and it was a horrible experience. He was 16 and travelling with his Mom and Dad and 2 brothers, in a car, from Ohio to Florida, in August. Definitely NOT a great memory.

We are older first time parents and we have a 5 year old son. It will be such a wonderful thing for us! My son and I went last year, but my husband couldn't go because of his work schedule. I sure HOPE that this will all turn out OK! I would hate to think that I'll be saving my pennies the next time for a divorce attorney! :scared1:

Anyway... I think you are so very thoughtful. And however, or WHENEVER you choose to tell her... I hope it's spectacular!

Are you making reservations for any nice meals while you're there? Where are you staying? Sorry... just love to hear of others trip plans!

Good luck!:thumbsup2
