How to reserve at Cinderella's Royal Table with Disney Dining Plan?

I would love make a breakfast reservation at Cinderella's Royal Table, but not sure if I can. We will have the Disney dining plan, can we still make reservations? I have read that you need to pay in full when booking, so just wanted to get input on it. Also, is it worth the 2 credits?

You can. When going through the booking process there will be a choice to select Disney Dining plan guarantee, or something like that, you just click it. You will still have to give a cc in case you no show but it won't be charged.

You do not have to pay for it up front, but you do have to put a card on file just like with any ressie. You can still pay for it with the DDP. Now is it worth it? Only you can answer that question. For me yes because that was a experience with my DD that I wouldn't trade for the world. I eaten there twice. Once while on a father/daughter trip and then on a family trip.

I've done it both ways, to me it's a math decision based on your dining plans overall.

OP's wording made me think about something but I don't know answer.

When you book wanting to use DDP - I am assuming that you have to have already booked a package with the DDP, not the anticipation that you will get the DDP, is that correct?

Yes, package with dining must already be booked, otherwise it won't give the choice to reserve with credits. If you pay at the time of booking and then do the DDP you can get a refund at the restaurant.
