How to Rent Our Existing Reservation?

DH and I have an existing reservation for a DVC resort in XX and can't make the trip. After checking into all the alternatives, we decided to try to rent the reservation out but have never done anything like this before. Is there an existing thread on this? If not, can anyone share their experiences? I read somewhere there's a fee for changing the name on the existing reservation. I read the page containing the restrictions (including not listing more than 30 days before check-in). Other than that, I haven't found much guidance on how to go about renting an existing reservation to someone else.

Details may only be posted on the DVC Rent/Trade Board, hence the editing in the post above.

If you do a search on this board, it will yield many posts discussing Renting of DVC Points.

Here is a Thread to get you started. This one discussed the various rental contracts that folks utilize when renting out their points. You will also want to read the stickies on top of the Rent/Trade Board for some general rental information.

The restriction on not posting more than 30 days out is a Disboard restriction, not a DVC one. There are other places you could post your reservation if interested.
