My friend just asked me to help her out since I´m her Orlando expert
I told her I´d ask my Dis friends who are my Orlando experts

Well, she and her DH and kids are going to Orlando in September along with 3 other families. They´d like to stay in 2 homes, preferably very close to each other. Each home needs to have 4 bedrooms or more and at least 2 of them need to be queens or larger and the other 2 preferably with twin beds (for the kids). Is this a hopeless task?

It has to be near Disney, of course!

Call Alexander holiday homes that is what we did last year. We just told them what we were looking for and they were very helpful we loved it so much we are planning on going back to the very same place next year.

There are some websites that offer it as an option. Need to step out but will be back with a site by the end of the evening.

Once you have picked a home you like and a neighborhood, you can talk to the owner and I am sure that they can help you with finding another home near thiers and help you out. I have done this many times for lots of our guests! I have a wedding in our home now that I helped her book 8 other homes in the neighborhood!

And of course talk to us hear! We will help you in any way that we can!

You can do a search on www.indiancreekflorida.com for homes,
www.orlandovillaowners.com
www.vrbo.com
www.windsorhillsrent.com

Put out a "general inquiry" on windsorhillsrent.com.... be prepared to do your homework and get a lot of email responses! Some owners do own multiple homes all right by one another (we do for instance, but not the size you're looking for). We get inquiries of this type all the time though, so it's a fairly common request, if you go with individual homes though, you're going to have to ask people for the home's addresses and do a little work to see if they're right by one another.

I agree often owners know some other owners either next door or close to them. We have often done dual bookings with our neighbor on Windsor Palms.

Also, depending on the size and make up of the family groups, they may also be able to fit into one larger 7 bedroom home. I certainly don't recommend trying to squeeze too many people into one home as that can not be the best for your comfort, but some homes can cater for 16 guests plus infants.

www.windsor-palms-florida.net for homes at Windsor Palms homes - there is an option that lists homes by street, so you can look at getting homes on the same community.

If you are interested in Emerald Island http://emeraldislandresortvacationhomes.com/

some owners own multiple properties in the same resort. seems like it would be easier to deal with one person rather than two.

just the other day i was looking at a web site for someone that owned 4 homes in emerald island, all 4BR. sorry but i can't remember the url. check recent postings about emerald island.

The owner we're renting from in August in Emerald Island has 2 houses side by side (4 bedrooms each). The website is ourvilla.net or ourvilla2.net.

My brother just rented one this week that is 4 bedroom 3 bath with a heated a pool. I am still in shock. It is so gorgous. It is very reasonable. Until they did it I had never heard of this being available. It is a lovely idea especially considering how noisy and annoying the timeshares have become.

Wow! You´re amazing. Thanks sooooo much for all the great info. I´ll probably meet with my friend tomorrow and show her the various homes and links (she´s never been to the US or Disney before and is terrified).

I´m sure she´ll find something wonderful thanks to you all! :)

Hi, we just stayed at an awesome five bedroom home in Emerald Island. The owner also had a four bedroom home right next door. Each has their own pool and hot tub. The community also has a pool, fitness room, nature trail, two playgrounds and tennis courts. Our five bedroom had one king room, two rooms that each had a queen, and two bedrooms that had two single beds in each room. there are also two pull out sofas. It was the first time we had booked off site and a home. It was our best vacation ever, and very inexpensive comparatively!! We found the home on vrbo.com. If you want the exact numer, and the gentlemans website, I'll get it to you via PM if you desire. I would highly recomend it! The couple that stayed with us timed the drive at seven minutes from the house to MK parking lot. (we did Universal and IOA, Seaworld and Busch Gardens if you want times for those attractions)

We are staying at Windsor Hills in November. The owner owns two villas next door to each other. They look awesome. They are both 6 bedroom villas. As I dont have 10 posts yet I am not able to post a link but if you do a search for Valhalla Villas you should find them.

Here's another Windsor Hills link romancingthemouse.com. They have a 4 bedroom and a 5 bedroom side by side. They also own two houses in Windsor Palms, but I don't know if they're by each other.

I PM'd Freyja with this, but since this is becoming an info thread, I'll note that the owner of the home we are staying in in Windsor Hills owns two 6 bedroom homes next door to each other. The website is www.valhallavillas.com.

Haven't stayed there yet but will post a trip report with review when we return at the end of March.
