I have come here for help!!!

I know the "mechanics" of scrapbooking. have taken a few classes after work, etc and visit the scrapbooking store religiously, but my problem seems to lie in the fact that I don't know HOW TO GROUP my photos on pages.

I did a whole book for my son on his senior year in high school and that was easy to do chronologically. One of my dearest friends has asked for a scrapbook of our Disney travels together and I don't know where to start!

He dropped off a bunch of pictures and I don't know where to even begin. Do I do pages in the order they were taken? Do I do them by the people IN them? Right now I am so overwhelmed by this project I can't even start it.

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated as to HOW to even start this journey!

album the thought of how to do it is a bit over whelming at first so why not start with a title page of who, what, when, and why and go from there to fun times together eating, riding the rides, meeting the characters, etc. Once you start I think the rest just comes to you and falls into place. I'm sure however you do it your friend is going to cherish it forever.

I have been organizing my Disney book by park. For example, a general page for each park and then pages for more specific things (ie Character meal, MVMCP, particular rides). I have found it helpful to go through all of my pictures and group them by park. Then I separated them by ride or event. Then I composed a list of all the pages that I wanted to do. As I finish them, I check them off the list.

This is how I've done mine:

-title page
-itinerary (spelling?)
-unusal weather
-disneyitis defined
-getting there
-hotel
-park passes
-Magic Kingdom.....with park having a title page, then the following pages just hitting highlights of that park
-Epcot ....same as above
-MGM.....same
-Animal Kingdom......same
-waterparks
-recreation .....golf, minigolf, renting watermice, parasailing, etc
-favorite foods page
-special events(if any).....like Christmas events or Halloween, etc

It's not finished, but you can see it online. Just follow link in my siggy.

Another thing I did was: any left over pictures from a certain park that I couldn't make a page out of simply went into regular photo album type sleeves & were placed after that parks layouts; and before the next park section started. All the pictures are in the album, but they aren't all scrapped.

I like to do the album by days. I like trip things in order. But I will do "fun" pages with the silly pics of us eating Mickey ears once again...or hanging out at the camp ground. I like to do a mosaic for my first page. then a page on getting there then the parks by the day.

Wow.

Thank you all for your quick replies and great ideas! I needed a jumpstart and you have given it to me!

I will let you know how things progress!

Thanks again!!!
