My family (4 adults and 2 children) would love to visit WDW in December but are lacking funds. The thing that is really eating us up is the park hoppers. We need extra money for these. How can we earn extra money? Another job is not an option. We work too long as it is. We done the yard sale thing but we made no more than 40 a piece. I'm out of ideas. Please help!

Can you wring some $$ out of your everyday budget? Brown bagging lunch, scaling back on sodas, cutting back your cable subscription?? I quit smoking and started taking my lunch to work. Instead of buying a soda every am at the convience store, I purchase soda and take it with me from home.

A dollar saved is BETTER than a dollar earned! No additional taxes!

No idea how to make money but look where you can save. Eat out? Drink ice water instead of pop or coffee, saves $1.50/shot.I was amazed how much I saved. Good luck for your trip.

Forgive me, but how bout just postponing your trip. I know...isn't that just the WORST idea ever??!! :p  I want to go to Disney next May, but not in debt to my family. It's just DH and I so for me it would be a little easier to swing it. I'm going to wait and see what our income tax refund looks like and I'll plan from there. If we don't go next May, then May of 2004 looks just as good. I can start saving next January and there will be no reason why the trip can't happen. :D

If postponing your trip isn't in the books, then I agree about cutting back. Try not to eat out as much and if you do, don't buy the drink at the fast food restaurant, drink something at home. Go to Wendy's and do the .99 cents value meal...IT'S DA BOMB for those on a budget!! :jester: Take a lunch to work and throw every bit of change you have into a jar and save it for your trip. At one time I had $17 in change saved up, but I had to put in the bank for rent along with the other $91 I had saved up for our trip. (I just have my priorities silly me...a roof over my head...what am I thinking chosing that over a trip to Disney??!! )

Good luck with whatever you choose and keep up posted.

I save change and adjust my federal and state taxes during the year in order to get back a nice refund to use towards my trip.

Could someone help Kurry and I as to the estimated date when Disney Increases Park Passs prices?
If you are postponing to a later date beyond the price increase date you have to budget even more.
Plus if one of the members of you Family age changes to a higher price tix, you should try to buy the tixs ahead.
If you can get one of your credit card co.s to cut your interest rate or give you a percent cash back buy now instead of after the increas plus make it the Vacation card of choose so you can get a rebate on the average $2000 family of four Bill which includes airfare.
Hope I was helpful!
ENJOY! :jester:

Thanks for everyone's help. We are still debating on whether to go or not. Maybe I could try Ebay.

Thanks anyways!

If you haven't already - go check out the rewards board - http://www.disboards.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=&forumid=35&x=4&y=6

There's a thread titled "Reward Program How To 2002(and Tips)" near the top that will help you get started. If you have more questions about rewards programs you can post on that board & the people over there will be glad to help.

I did just Milesource last year & earned a $75 Rain Forest Cafe gift certificate. That was just through "cllicking", not purchasing anything.
