I think I remember my Mom doing this when I was a kid. Just mix dish detergent with water, maybe? Anyone know the measurements to use?

1/2 cup Dishwashing detergent (120 ml)
4 1/2 Cup Water (1.1 liter)
4 Tablespoons glycerin (available at pharmacies) (60 ml)

this is a great bubble recipe:
1 ounce Dawn or Joy, 8 ounces distilled water, 1 ounce Karo white syrup, for good measure add a bottle of store bought bubble solution - then, stir (do not shake!) - store in a plastic container - happy bubble making!

The homemade bubble juice works great for the giant bubble wands you can get at the dollar store. We bought them to a family picnic (4 generations, ages 0 - 90) and I think everyone tried them at least once!

I always read it has to be Joy brand dish liquid if you want to make the really big bubbles and not small ones that pop right away. It really does make a difference. :thumbsup2

Beware of bubbles with Karo they attract bees!~:scared1:
