my 3 year old is very anti-costume...he will not wear one, and I really don't see it changing by halloween. we have a huge parade in our neighborhood that he wants to go to, plus dressing up for pre-school, etc.

He has said he will go as stanley, his favorite tv character, which really isn't much of a costume...brown pants, red shirt. what else could we do to make it more of a costume, but not too much of a costume? does tds sell dennis or the like?

You could make your own Dennis, with some construction paper. And a Great Big Book of Everything, too.

You could get a nice plastic fishbowl, get a stuffed Dennis, or make one out of Construction paper (I have a neat craft to make a tissue paper fish if you want it). He could carry the fishbowl, and you could definitely make a 'Great Big Book of Everything'.

What a super cute idea.

The first thing I thought of was making a Great Big Book of Everything.

gotta have dennis :)
i got a plastic fishbowl at wal-mart not too long ago. very cheap, very light. just throw in a paper fishy.

thanks! we actually have a Great Big Book of Everything, but I think it would be so awkward to carry around.

I wonder if there is a way to make a fishbowl/dennis that he could use to collect candy. hmmmm...need to think on that one.
