How to make a slide show from pix???

Does anyone have a good site or program to make a slide show from your downloaded digital photos. ITtied using Microsft Picture It! 9 and when I saved it to a CD, all I got was sound and no pictures! Any advice would be great...

Depending on what version of Windows you have you might have Windows Movie Maker loaded. Check Start, All Programs, Accessories, Entertainment, Windows Movie Maker.

It allows you to add photos with transitions and music and save as different video formats. If it is not there you may be able to download it for free from Microsoft's site.

I don't know a lot, but my dad does. He has had a lot of success using a program called PicturesToEXE. He's not here now, but I think the website for downloading it is here: http://www.wnsoft.com/ .

Thanks for the help, but now that I've been able to produce the slide show, I can't save it to disc. Is there a certain type of disc? I tried CD-R and DVD-R and it just doesn't want to be saved to that darn disc! Anymore help would be great!!!

Do you have a writable CD drive? Not all CD drives allow writing, some just allow playing. If it is a writable CD drive than a CD-R should work. You would have to check the software that came with to see if there are any special settings. Many different writable CD drives come with different software.
