We have already booked 9nts at Boardwalk in November with a boardwalk view. I want to request 3rd floor or higher since many of the 2nd floor balconies are fully enclosed and are difficult to see out. (My grandparents are coming and they will spend alot of time sitting out there). What is the best way to request this. (phone, fax or other)

The ONLY way to make the request is to call DVC and have it noted on your reservation. Resorts no longer accept (or at least acknowledge) fax requests.

Best time to request is at the time of booking. The DVC official web site specifically forbids fax requests. Good luck.

Call back and add your request at the CRO TODAY! Wait a day or so and call back to confirm and see if request was actually recorded. Remember, they will note your request but not confirm it.

Am I missing something? The OP doesn't say she's a DVC member and I thought Boardwalk views were held specifically for members. If booked through CRO, she would either get standard or preferred view. Am I wrong?

Thanks

Cyn

We are DVC members and have a Boardwalk view but I know that most of the second floor balconies are enclosed all the way around and you can't sit and see the boardwalk so we want 3rd floor or higher

Call MS and ask that your request (upper floor) be added to your reservation. As already posted, that's the only way to make requests ahead of time for DVC resorts. If it is really important, make it your only request. Doesn't hurt to arrive early in the day if you can and to repeat the request at check in. I know you already understand that requests are not guaranteed.

Hope you get your request and have a great time.

Best wishes -
