How to make a room request

I’ve read about people putting special requests for their room reservation and I can’t find where to do that. Under my reservation if I click “Make Request” it’s only a drop down with 2 options: near elevator or near lobby. Is there no where to make a more specific request?

Unfortunately, you need to call the reservations number (or DVC MS if you’re a DVC owner with a DVC resort room booked) and ask them to note your requests. You may be able to use online Chat as an alternative.

I ended up using touring plans for my April trip. Does it work? They said they’ll mail something out 30 days beforehand

I just called Disney and asked to make a room request. I gave them a general request and some example rooms that would fit that description. I have never used Touring Plans, but I went on their room finder to see what language they used to put in a room request and just copied that verbatim. We will see on January 15th if the request is granted.

Seems to work though nothing is 100%

I’ve always called and had them note it on the reservation. It’s not a guarantee but most times I’ve gotten what I’ve asked for

I always use the chat feature. It’s usually way faster than calling

Just used TouringPlans to make room requests for the four rooms we had last week. Didn’t get the connections we wanted, but we were able to change some around and make sure the solo traveler was in a connecting room and not isolated. TP site is helpful to show what rooms connect so you can make sure it’s even possible with your room type/location.
