I, too, am not a shopper. (sssh, don't tell Sher). I am a disgrace to my sex. Heck, malls give me a migraine. I have 4 girls that LOVE to shop.
That was a wonderful installment.
I agree about clutter. I find physical clutter depresses me. I found this out many many years ago. I am big on throwing things out. If it doesn't bring me joy and I am not emotionally or sentimentally attached to it, I toss it!!
I'd much rather be attached to PEOPLE and not THINGS!!!
But... I came back to read. With pleasure. I sorta understand your need to minimalize the clutter in your life. I am at the stage of getting rid of "things" in our house, too. The boxes of crap we kept moving with and not opening... and the stuff on shelves that really means nothing... and books and magazines, old toys. Yada yada blah. Blah.
I feel it.
However... the feeling does not seem to extend to my closet. Sadly.
Maybe I am just cleaning out the rest of the house to expand it. Heh heh.
As usual you are a yellow gem. It's good to see you again.
Keep writing. You fill us up. In all the right ways.
Your friend, Mel.
P.S. You give your kids presents on holidays???? Geez. I feel kinda bad now. I give mine shoes. For me.
I am still back on page 21 but I have to subscribe this trip report is wonderful!!
I've laughed, I've cried and there's no way I am riding EE after reading your description of it!!! Your kiddos are brave!! DH took our DD5 on ToT in January and I could hear her screaming the whole time. She was very brave but afterword she kept asking us it the rides were like that Scary RIDE! Poor Girl
Where are you? I have been lurking for serveral days and I have to say that I am hooked. I can not wait to read the rest. We leave for WDW in 14 days and I want to finish before I leave. You have such a talent for writing. HURRY HURRY HURRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dear Everyone! Thanks to all of you. I am going to try to take a hiatus and get this darn thing done. I promised in earnest to get crackin' and I have not done so...I am a woman of my word.....
I just have to tell you how much I am enjoying your report, you truly have a gift, and I thank you for sharing it with us! You always leave us wanting to hear more I wish you luck with your progress.....as I'm anxiously awaiting your next "chapter".
Horsey! I'm finally caught up and I have just so loved reading about your trip! What a sweet family! It baffles me that I will be there with you soon! Crazy huh?!? Can't wait to hear the rest!!!
lymi!
Told you I'd reread. . .and I did. Backstory being what it is, the reread takes on a new dimension. For what it's worth, you and James Joyce share a kindred love of streamofconsciousness. . .yours is more interesting and human, though.
