How to incorporate Disney in my wedding somehow...

I really want to add and element of Disney to my wedding (we were going to get married in Disney but not everyone could come). So now I am doing a beach themed wedding here and I really want a touch of disney somewhere.

My cake is beach themed too and I was looking for an Ariel and Eric cake topper but the WDCC was $300, and even though its beautiful and a WDCC I don't have any place to put it after the wedding.

Anyone have any ideas? I don't want the wedding to scream crazy disney lady (which I am and everyone knows it lol :lmao:) but I want something.
Thanks!

Son & daughter-in-law had a Mickey & Minnie cake topper, along with Mickey & Minnie champagne flutes and cake knife. Someone got them Mouse-ears with their wedding date on them - those sat on the head table. Can't think of anything else they had that was Disney.

We incorporated Disney when we chose our first dance song. We danced to A whole new world from Aladian.

What about using red, white and black as you colors? Mickey head confetti the tables. How about a favorite dianey world recipe as part of the event?

We implemented some Disney touches to our wedding 16 years ago.... my DH wore a Mickey Mouse cummerbund & tie, we had the Mickey/Minnie cake topper, Mickey/Minnie wine goblets, our flowergirl wore a Snow White dress (a really nice one-not the ones you see now for Halloween dress up), and for a bunch of photos at the reception, our whole wedding party donned Mickey Ears :) We also had a variety of Disney songs played throughout the wedding such as "Be Our Guest" when the food was being served, Bella Notte when the guests were eating, Billy Joel's version of "When You Wish Upon a Star" for our first dance, etc....

Do people do GROOMS cakes anymore? You could have a second wedding cake made into the shape of a mickey head, you could make it chocolate if your other cake is yellow or white.

...there are so many ways you can incorporate 'Disney' into your wedding, from

centerpieces! The possiblities are endless!

...is a lovely cake topper, it's probably expensive - why not try to find Ariel and Eric figurines and use those instead?

...and don't forget the 'Disney confetti' on all the tables! ;)

We went to a wedding for one of DH's friends daughters and they had at the beginning of the dinner service, all the waiters and waitress come out and walk around while they played 'be our guest'. It was so cute!

See how many hidden Mickey's you can do. Place settings (a-la Haunted Mansion), in your bouquet, Make the cake a HM shape and put some HM's into the design....

I had a hidden Mickey in my bouquet and the flower girl's bouquet also was a hidden Mickey. My mom sewed hidden Mickey's onto my dress (within the already placed crystals). When I got my nails done for the wedding, I had Mickey on my thumb. I sewed a Mickey charm onto my garter too.

Instead of table numbers, we had characters from different movies. I also took plain vases and 'etched' (chemically) Mickey's onto them and they served as the center pieces. The ring bearer's pillow was a hidden Mickey.

Although I had a lot of Disney aspects, my wedding didn't scream Disney to the guests - it did to me though! :)

The theme of my wedding was "Wishes" like the MK fireworks show. It was subtle and classy enough but still very Disney. I used snowglobes for centerpieces, on boxes wrapped with white paper and blue and while tulle around it. Then on each snowglobe (a different movie on each table) I had a ribbon going across saying the "wish." Like, "I wish I could go to the ball," and others direct from Wishes, most I had to make up. Since it was Wishes, I incorporated a lot of stars (get it, wish upon a star). My cake was not disney at all but lots of stars. Our wedding song was Billy Joel singing When You Wish Upon a Star. I made Mickey Head fans for programs. Hidden Mickey in my bouquet. At the reception, after they announced the bridal party, they announced us and just before we walked out to our song, we had the DJ play the monorail saying, "Please stand clear of the doors...." That got a good laugh. Instead of favors, we also made a donation to Make A Wish. Fit the theme PERFECTLY!

I THINK that's everything!! We did not have Disney invitations, cake (like I said), a lot was not Disney. Just enough so that people knew it was US, ya know what I mean?

Here are a few pics....

BTW, I stalked the disneystore website for a good year and a half for when snowglobes went on clearance! It was a lot of work (between those, the programs, the music, etc.) but it all turned out exactly how I envisioned it in my head so it was worth it!

Can you have the baker put a hidden Mickey on your cake?

Your centerpieces are so cute! When they went on clearance it was probably less expensive than doing flowers that would die anyway.

Fiance likes the beauty and the beast topper but IDK how that would look on the "beach" themed cake lol. The cake is actually going to look like sand is on the different layers. Maybe I could figure out a way to put the Cinderella or Mickey and Minnie cake topper on the top and then "they lived happily ever after" in the sand?

Maybe I could find some mickey confetti.

And I liked the monorail entrance thing lol

I got the Minnie headband veil, I have to get the mickey one for Fiance.

I had Disney themed wedding same situation was going to hv at wdw but decided not to after my dad said you'll have no one there.

We had movie names instead of table numbers. Cindy invites, programs, centerpieces, I had the Cindy wdcc for cake topper. I was a store cm at te time so got nice discount. To give away centerpieces I had a trivia question. Had ou pens and paper. Whoever could list 7 dwarves first one. I enlisted help of Dj and wedding party. W had scalable group they wore Mickey cumberbuns. Hmmmnn. I'll post more if I think. Its been over 11 yes ;)
