How to get to the GF or WL for breakfast?

For our last meal before driving back to Pittsburgh, we plan on eating breakfast at either the GF (more likely) or the WL.

Most directions say head to the MK parking lot stay in the right lanes and tell the person you are going to the GF or WL. Ok I get that and have done the trip many times in Google maps.

Two points:

  • It seems like once you leave the toll booths, you stay to the right and continue up World Drive and either turn left (GF) or right (WL) on Seven Seas Drive. What would keep someone from just going straight and not paying for parking? I see no barriers or even cones keeping you to the right. :confused3

  • This meal would be Saturday morning in early May. Would it be better to go around the back way by taking Bonnet Creek Pkwy to Vista, past Fort Wilderness and then pick up World Drive after the booths. I'm worried about extra MK traffic on a Saturday morning around RD. We are coming from the east on 536.

One thing I worry about is that sometimes these "backways" look good on a map but are actually backstage restricted roads.

thanks

1. Once you are past the toll booths there is nothing really stopping you from going left except your conscience and having to cut across traffic that may also be going to the right. If you are eating at one of the resorts you can park there for 2-3 hours without a problem.

2. Going past FW is a viable alternative. There are no restrictions on this road.

There are signs guiding you to each resort. For WL you will (eventually) be making a right turn, for GF you will turn left. Enjoy your trip.
