How to get the CR for the $215/night rate??? (or even close)

I've plugged in dates all over the calendar and tried to get the rate to be anywhere near $259. We are a party of 5 (3 kids, one is an infant in crib, so that shouldn't really count). But I can't get below $300 for most dates.

I'm looking mostly at odd times in November and December (non-holiday).

I did get a decent rate of $336 for T-giving week.

I was just wondering what others have gotten for their rate in the past, and when you were there.

I'm just guessing here ...

It might not be that the rates are higher, but rather that the least expensive rooms are sold out and you are only being shown what's still available.

According to WDW's website the cheapest room at the CR is $259.00 during the value season. The value season is 1/1-2/14, 7/8-10/3, and 11/25-12/19. Of course you may be able to get a discounted rate (AP rate, Triple A, etc.,) throughout the year.

Maybe the OP saw something saying that deluxes start at $215, which is true, but only at AKL and WL. I believe their standard rooms in Value season are $215.

Sorry! I did mean $259. The $215 is for WL and AKL, but I didn't ever get that rate either.

And I was trying during that value window of 11/25-12/19, but didn't get it. Oh well, maybe its as CleveRocks said - they are already booked.

I would call reservations and ask. You may be able to get a standard room for part of your stay at $259 and the rest of the days at a higher rate. This happen to us during our July trip to BC, we paid a higher rate for the first two days and then got it for a lower rate the rest of the stay. The only problem when that happens is that you may have to switch rooms, luckly for us our room was available and we were able to continue with our stay in the same room. Hope I'm being helpful with this information. You can get lower rates if you try a AAA rate or AP rate. I just got WL AAA rate for $204.00 plus tax, for a woods view room, which is less then a standard rate room without a AAA rate. Keep trying!!!!

I believe the garden wings standard view are the $259 and since the north wing is no longer, that may be the reason for the unavailable rooms. Just keep checking the website or call Disney and ask what are the $259 rooms and if any are available.
