How to get the cheapest flight...

Hi everyone,
We are thinking of doing something seriously crazy for us. We went to MNSSHP last year and LOVED it and we are thinking about flying to FL from Milwaukee just to attend the party. We will stay for 2 nights, but we only plan on attending the party - no other parks (if I started going to parks I would never leave).

So now I am having a problem because to do this fun little jaunt will cost us almost $1,000 for flight alone (four of us traveling). I am seriously excited about doing this, but I would like to get our flight around $800 or lower if possible.

Any tips on how to get a cheaper fare? When do airlines offer their travel discounts? We used to fly Midwest, but I'm not happy with their flight changes. We used to get a good deal on a direct flight ($210/per person in October) but now they are charging the same price for a flight with an hour layover that arrives in Orlando at 11pm.

We are crazier than your family! We are flying to attend MNSSHP too and only staying 3 nights. The kicker for us was Delta had some FF mile tickets and our AP's expire on our last day @ WDW so all we had for expenses was 3 nights hotel and food. We are going to be exhausted but it will be worth it!

I hope the flights work out for you and you find a GREAT deal! I think MNSSHP is the best! Still trying to figure out costume ideas!
