How to get photos here??

I would love to share some of my phots from my "Dell Image Station". Anyone here patient enough to help me out????

Would you be willing to change where the pictures are hosted? www.photobucket.com is so very easy.

For Dell, have you ever posted a clipart? If so, posting a picture is done the same. Let us know if you have done clipart in the past.

If you have pictures posted elsewhere online, you can post them here by clicking on the little

symbol and pasting in the URL for the photo.

The URL is the web address of the photo (not the web address for the page that the photo is on). To see it using Internet Explorer, go to the web page that has your picture, right click on the picture, and select properties. Copy the address from there.

I too would like to post a photo or two. I clicked on properties and saw the URL address, but there's no way to copy the address (it's quite long). What do I do?

You should be able to highlight and then copy the address. Some sites do not allow linking as such.

Give the site mentioned above a look for hosting and linking, it really works well with bulletin boards like the DIS.

I like imageshack. It's easy to use, will resize images for you and gives you the link in a forum ready format.

but there's no way to copy the address

In Internet Explorer, you can either triple click on address or drag the mouse across the address while holding down the left mouse button. Once you have the entire address highlighted, you can press ctrl-C or you can right click on the address ande select "copy".

I do not have to be on-line to work with my "Dell Image Station". I think that's half my problem. If I want to share pictures I have to give it an jpg. addy and such.......and I can't figure out how to do that yet.

And is there a way to just up-load my pictures straight from my camera ( like I do with dell image) to Imageshack or photobucket???

You have to get the photos online to post them here. Go to Photobucket or another similar photo hosting site and set up an account. Then you can upload your pictures from your computer to the photo site. Once you have them online you can "right-click" your images on the website and then you will see the URL address which ends in ".jpg". Then you highlight the address, copy it, and then you can paste it here using

in the message box.
