Hey guys! I'm flying in this morning and need to get from the Yacht Club Resort to the Shades of Green resort to pick up our military park hoppers. Any tips on how to make that happen? I know there isn't a bus that goes from Disney resorts to SOG, but I was hoping there's some connection other than having to pay for a cab. Thanks!

Walk or take the boat from YC/BC to HS. Take a SoG bus from there. It will take a while to accomplish this. The walk/boat ride will be about 20 minutes with another 20-30 minutes via bus to SoG. This includes estimated wait times.

ETA: A taxi ride would take about 15 minutes total and would probable cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $15-$20 with tip, one way. Sometimes it is worth spending the money rather than wasting precious vacation time sitting on Disney transportation. May I suggest that you take a taxi to SoG? Then you can meet your family at the entrance to the park of your choice by taking a bus from SoG to that park. It will still cost you a little money but the last thing that I would want to do after a morning of travel is to spend 2 hours on Disney transportation just for the purpose of retrieving my tickets.

Wow! Thanks for the info! Didn't think it would be that expensive. I'll just buy them at the regular ticket window and pay the tax. (Was trying to save paying tax by buying at SOG). Thank you again!

Depending on how many tickets you're buying, the taxi may still be a money-saver. Tax per ticket is about $11. However, the time factor is the big thief -- it is not quick to get from YC to SoG.

By that time, you would've blown any potential savings (buying tickets at SoG tax-free) on taxi fare.

Recommend starting your day very early and get to SoG/back to Yacht Club in time to join the family. A 1-day car rental could also work, so you could make a drinks/snacks run for your room (much of that is available at the Exchange store inside SoG).

I thught I read that SofG is within walking distance of the Polynesian over a bridge. Not true?? I'll have to check that out. :coffee:

It's about a 10 minute walk from the Poly to SoG. I'm not sure if a footbridge is involved or not. However, the OP is staying at the YC, so it really doesn't matter for her.

Is there a bus from YC to TTC? When we stayed at SOG, they only sent buses to HS once per hour. But, SOG buses to TTC are every 20 minutes.

Is YC near Epcot? You could take the Monorail from Epcot to TTC. From there, Bus to SOG or Monorail to Poly and walk to SOG.

Note for planning that SOG post their bus schedule and buses from there are always on schedule.

YC is near the International Gateway entrance to the World Showcase part of Epcot. The Epcot monorail station is at the main entrance to the park. It would involve walking (or taking a boat) from YC to the International Gateway and then walking through Epcot to get to the main entrance and then beyond it to the monorail station. Doing this would require an admission ticket.
