How to Get from Here to There Questions

I am trying to figure out the best/quickest way to get around Disney using Disney transportation (bus, boats, etc.) without taxi service. I suppose if there is a scenic route, maybe that could be noted as an option as well...

I need help with the following:

DHS to DTD

Epcot to Polynesian

Polynesian to MK

AK to Epcot

Contemporary to Epcot

Epcot to DHS

Whispering Canyon Cafe to DHS


Sorry, I know that's a lot of questions. Hopefully someone knows the short/quick answers to the above.

4. & 6. There is "direct" transportation between all the WDW theme parks.
The frequency of departure for each is approximately every 20 minutes, give or take, all day long.
Most routes are via Disney Buses.

Here are the "park-to-park" Disney Transportation direct connections:
MK> Epcot = Monorail to TTC, Switch to 2nd Monorail to Epcot
MK> DHS = Direct Bus
MK> AK= Direct Bus

AK> DHS= Direct Bus
AK> Epcot= Direct Bus
AK> MK= Direct Bus

DHS> MK= Direct Bus
DHS> AK= Direct Bus
DHS> Epcot= Direct Bus (Epcot Front Gate) or Boat (Epcot Intl. Gateway)
......Boats ("Friendships") make 3 interim stops at the Epcot area resorts.

Epcot > MK= Monorail to TTC, Switch to 2nd Monorail to MK
Epcot > AK= Direct Bus
Epcot> DHS= Direct Bus (Epcot Front Gate) or Boat (Epcot Intl. Gateway)
......Boats ("Friendships") make 3 interim stops at the Epcot area resorts.

The buses have their destinations shown on them on illuminated signs.
The bus stops at the parks are also marked with signage.

As a rule-of-thumb, allow 40-60 minutes to get from the gates of one park to the gates of another park.

1. Friendship Boat (or walk) from DHS to Swan or Yacht Club or Boardwalk. Then, Bus to DTD.

2. Monorail from Epcot to TTC. Change to Resort Monorail to Poly.

3. Monorail or shuttle boat.

5. Monorail to TTC. Change to Epcot monorail.

7. Bus from WL to DHS.

I can help with a couple.
Epcot to Polynesian - monorail
Poly to MK- you can take the boat or the monorail. We prefer the boat.
Ak to Epcot - bus
Contemporary to Epcot- monorail
Whispering canyon to dhs- bus from the resort

DHS to DTD - This will require a bus to any resort then a bus to DTD. Conveniently, bus to Port Orleans and take the boat to DTD.

Epcot to Polynesian - Monorail to the Transportation & Ticket Center, then change to Resort Monorail line to Poly.

Polynesian to MK - Resort Monorail will go to Grand Floridian then MK gates directly.

AK to Epcot - Direct bus route between AK and Epcot

Contemporary to Epcot - Resort Monorail line to TTC, then Monorail to Epcot.

Epcot to DHS - From the front of Epcot, a bus route, from the back or Epcot you can take a boat, though it stops at the 3 area resorts before DHS. This is also walkable.

Whispering Canyon Cafe to DHS - This will just be a bus route.

1. Transfer at a resort. I generally choose Pop Century.
2. Monorail to the TTC and walk or monorail to the poly.
3. Monorail or boat. I prefer the boat
4. Direct bus
5. Monorail to TTC, Monorail to Epcot.
6. Bus, walk, or boat.
7. Direct bus.

One quick question, are buses between parks something new? Or am I losing my mind? I thought it used to be really complicated, as in you used to have to go from park, then to resort, then to the next park??? Goodness, now I can't recall....

1. No.
2. Can't help you there.
3. There has been transportation between the parks ever since there have been multiple parks. It's how guests "park hop."

What is NOT provided is direct transportation between most RESORTS.
