Made reservations today for my son and his new bride for a honeymoon in 18 days at Animal Kingdom Lodge. They would like to eat at all the resort hotels for dinners such as Yachtsman Steakhouse, etc... after dinner are their buses that will take them back to the AKL or do they have to get a taxi?

There are no buses that go between resorts. They would have to get to a park and catch the AKL bus back to the hotel or go through Downtown Disney. Easiest and quickest is a taxi.

There are no direct busses resort to resort. They would have to go to an open park or Downtown Disney and transfer. The quickest option would be a taxi.

From the MK resorts (CR, Poly, & GF), they can take the monorail to MK up until 1 hour after the MK closes, and then get a bus to AKL.

From the Epcot resorts (BW, Yacht & Beach Clubs, Swan & Dolphin), if DHS is open late, they can take a boat there, and then a bus to AKL.

If it's later, and from all other resorts, they will have to take a bus to any park that's still open or to DTD, and get the bus to AKL from that park. Bus drivers are instructed not to take guests to a park to transfer after that park has closed.

When I make ADRs at resort restaurants, I try to make them for days when nearby parks are open late....evening EMHs for instance. That way, if I had an ADR for 7pm at Yachtsman, I could eat and then head to either DHS or Epcot to get back to my resort. You do have to have a hopper to enter a second park on any given day, so using Epcot may not be the best choice since you have to enter it and walk through in order to get to the buses.

Check out park hours...then you can see what parks will be open, and providing park to resort buses/boats. Otherwise, you can just take a bus, from any resort, to DTD and transfer there. But...that is time consuming. Not an issue if you aren't trying to get home quickly though.
