We can do our tickets the night before we leave on SWA- and try to get our A tickets.

But what happens at WDW.
No thinkpad at WDW.

Our plane will leave around 9 AM on SWA.
Do we have tot get to MCO at 7 AM to get A tickets ?

Thanks !

Ask your resort to check you in online. It can be done 24 hours in advance. Then, you can print your boarding passes at the airport if the resort can't do it for you.

Can deluxe resorts do this ? We will be at the WL.
I did not know they can do this for guests.

All reports are: "Yes, the front desk folks will happily help, just try to ask when there's not a huge line of folks checking in or out..."

Besides asking at the conciege desk to print them, anyone back home with a computer can do online check in for you, just give them the name the tickets are under and your confirmation number. The would just submit your info and not print the boarding passes. Then, when you get to the airport you can have them reprinted at the luggage check in area or at the gate I think also. Very easy!

We just did exactly this. The Concierge desk at POR printed them up in a jiffy. We did it 24 hours before our flight and had no problem. Are you flying with children? If so and at least one of them is under 4 you go straight to the preboarding line, no matter what letter you have, when you get to your gate and get in line. I know, I experienced this anxiety right up to the trip. Both coming and going, however, the plane had empty seats, so noone had a problem. Don't worry about it.

We do not have young children - just would like to snag A tickets.
We have a courtyard room at the WL - not Concierge.

Can the front desk help us out at the WL ?

It doesn't matter. When you are checking in they'll tell you where to go. All of the resorts will print them up for you. Just remember, you can now go 24 hours before and print your boarding passes. Also, if your nervous when you get there, I noticed that some people went straight to the gate and put their carryons in line at the letter they were assigned. One woman even sat on the floor in line and read a book. Honestly though, noone had a problem either coming or going. The only "problem" would be that you would have to sit in the back of the plane. But being that all of those with small children preboard and sit in the front of the plane, this will not be a problem at all. ;)

We just flew home on Tuesday. Concierge was more than happy to help us with the checking in and printing of boarding passes. We were staying at AsMo. The only problem we had was my Dh had to leave Epcot mid-day to go back to the hotel and do this, since you can check in 24 hours in advance now. It actually would have been better for us if it was 12:01 day of instead!! Alls well that ends well, though. We were in the A boarding group and had no problems getting 11 seats together!

You don't need to be Conceirge to have boarding passes done by front desk.
I've done it at WL, BW, and SSR and all have happily helped. I was just courteous and didn't go to the desk when the lines were long and they were extremely busy. Actually, it was rather late in the evening (after 12 midnight)
since it was before SW changed their checkin policy to 24 hours before flight.
All they will need is the confirmation number for your flight and your name to complete the checkin and print boarding passes.

I should have clarified that the "concierge" side of the front desk at AsMo took care of us. They actually have a concierge desk, where they take care of tickets, dinner reservations and recreation reservations.

had the same experience....printed passes last night at PO-R for our flight today. easy peasy.

I didn't mean it that way either. There is no "Concierge" at POR, however they now have a Concierge Desk in the lobby that takes care of guests accomodations (dining, flight info., etc ...) Didn't mean to sound snooty :snooty:

Also, if your nervous when you get there, I noticed that some people went straight to the gate and put their carryons in line at the letter they were assigned. One woman even sat on the floor in line and read a book.

And the woman with the book was doing it right. Please, don't think that it is acceptable practice to "hold" a place in the line by putting your carryon there to hold your spot while you go elsewhere. The only legitimate way to hold a spot in line is to have at least one of your party physically occupy the space until boarding is called. If you leave your bag to "hold" a spot, there is every chance that someone will report it as an unattended bag, in which case the best that will happen is that you will be embarassed to claim it, but the worst that might happen is that your bag could be removed and blown to bits by airport security. Either way, "bag dumpers" don't get back into the line; other passengers won't let them back in.

There is currently a thread on that very topic on this board; the practice is universally condemned.

Staying offsite morning of flight went to Kona for brekfast and CM at poly printed them out for us. :Pinkbounc

Thank you so much for the reasurance.

We do line sitting. My kids always have a deck of cards with them. Last time at MCO in the A line, the kids in the family behind us played with mine and the deck of cards. They were occupied, sitting on the floor with the card games, for an hour.

My DH goes and gets coffee/snacks while I line sit with the kids.
I have no kids under the age of 4 - nor who could pass for someone of that young age. :rotfl:

A couple of people said that you can print your boarding passes 24 hours in advance...... but that was not the case (at least last Feb. when we went)..... you had to wait until 12:01 am the day of the flight. I went to the front desk at midnight to ask them to do it.

this is a change just within the last month.....around the end of september they switched to 24 hours before

The policy was changed recently so that you can now do it 24 hrs in advance.

I have another question for "A" group folk.
Having never travelled with SWA, if (for example) you were at the front of the "A" line ....upon entering the plane,do you simply sit down wherever you want?
In the front row...for example?
Whats the age restriction for sitting in Exit Door seats?(the rerstriction does not apply to front row...right?)

You don't have to be Concierge level to use the Concierge. We used them at POR to check us in for our return flight on Airtran. No problem. They printed our boarding passes too.
