We finally splurged and had professional portraits done of the family. I ordered a BIG canvas one and now need it framed.

Do you put glass over canvas? Or not? I would like to go with a ready made Hobby Lobby frame so it won't be too $$$$$.

Thanks!!!

I don't put glass over my canvases (i'm a painter). go to hobby lobby or michaels or somewhere like that and look at their open back frames. Unless your canvas is just a really odd size you can probably get away with doing that and it will be a lot cheaper. They usually install them for free with the purchase of the frame as well.

I did this at Michael's and they charged me $10 to do the labor for framing.

That's good to know. I usually go to Hobby Lobby and they do it for free. Plus they have 50% off sales on their open frames quite frequently.
