How to eat yourself sick in Disney, a step by step guide (UPDATE: 1/21 RAGLAN ROAD!)

Thanks for the kind words everyone! Should have an update for you all shortly. We just brought home an 8 week old puppy! Busy time in this household..

Looks like the NHL gave you a late wedding present. They're coming back. I'll be looking for you around the boards.

PS: The Flyers and B's led the league in players who played overseas (11 players each). Looks like they will be the best conditioned teams. Good luck.

Thanks! There's a ton more to come, don't worry.

Haha I thought about you yesterday when I heard. I didn't know that (about the number of players overseas. I do know Briere is nursing a wrist injury though. Should be fun, I can't wait!

Joining in! Have yet to get past page 1 :teeth: However I love the wedding picture, your bride is beautiful and love the chucks!

Aww bummer! That's too bad about Le Cellier. I'm one of those people that are addicted to the filet and I've actually never ordered anything else! I'm bummed that it is now signature status because I too am not sure it's worth it. However I'm going there next month and I booked a lunch reservation (because I'm NOT going to pay dinner prices!) so I can get the filet. I just have to! ;)

I haven't heard of Tijuana Flats but it looks good! I'm a sucker for any type of Mexican food!

Just joining in. Congrats on the wedding. I ate at California Grill for the first time in October and my friends had the Spicy Kazan And Dragon Roll. They looked really amazing but I'm not much of a sushi eater. Haven't been to LeCellier in a few years and don't think I'll be heading back, especially now that they are a signature restaurant.

I drive by Tiajuana Flats at least 3 times a week and have never been in there. My DD works at Parx and I drive her to work. I'll have to try them one day soon. I love Mexican food.

Looking forward to more.

Yeah, I had really high hopes for Le Cellier, but oh well.

And Flats IS good. I recommend it to anyone. It's a fun little place to eat too.

You live near me, and more importantly near Flats, and you haven't tried it?! Don't wait! :thumbsup2

12/07

I woke up today feeling magical. Why, you ask? Because we were on our way to Universal Studios, and more specifically, to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter

We are self admitted Harry Potter nerds. If there’s anything that could drag me out of my glorious Disney bubble, it was this. We missed the chance to do this for the past few years, and we made the decision that we weren’t missing it this time. Our honeymoon was going to HAVE to include this.

So, we arrived at Universal, and skipped everything else on the way to the WWoHP.

We both wanted breakfast, so we decided to hit up The Three Broomsticks. We ordered most of the food ala carte, and ate things like scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes and sausage links. Nothing was spectacular or noteworthy though. It was simple breakfast fare. The potatoes were tasty, but nothing to write home about.

After breakfast we decided that we’d waited long enough to try the fabled Butterbeer.

This stuff..this glorious, sweet, delicious nectar of the GODS. LeFou’s Brew attempts to match the greatness, and falls embarrassingly short. This stuff is divine.

Sweet, but not too sweet. Carbonated, but not too bubbly. And it’s topped with a perfect whipped topping that I could eat by the spoonful. This didn’t last long between the two of us, and honestly, I’m not sure how this is the only one we enjoyed this day.

After exploring the area for a bit (which was disappointingly small!) and being blown away by not only the Forbidden Journey ride, but it’s amazing queue, we headed to Honeydukes to ogle at the sweets.

Chocolate Frogs!

We decided to split a Pumpkin Tart.

And I’m glad we did! This was a little snack sized pumpkin pie, and it was delicious. I was tempted to get another one, but I controlled myself. :lmao:

We meandered around the rest of the lackluster Islands of Adventure and took in a few more snack sites (which were extremely reminicisent of some holiday treats we had seen in the World..)

The cupcakes looked pretty tempting, and were buy one get one free, but we decided against it.

We rode some rides in the Marvel area of the park, laughed at how outdated the Jurassic Park area was, and I was forced to ride the carousel in Seuss Land (the things I do for love.)

After a ridiculously creepy ride on the Cat in the Hat attraction (seriously, who the hell designed that thing?!) we made our way back to the Three Broomsticks for lunch.

Christina ordered the shepherds pie dish.

IMG_9421.jpg

This was awesome! She was nice enough to let me snack on it as well, and we both really enjoyed it. The mashed potatoes were warm and smooth, and the meat was really good. It was a really good meal.

We split an order of the same potatoes we had eaten for breakfast.

IMG_9424.jpg

And ordered the Cornish Pasties.

IMG_9423.jpg

I was really looking forward to these, and sadly enough, I was underwhelmed. They were dry and really didn’t satisfy. I had to dip them in ketchup in order to enjoy them. Very disappointing.

On the way out of the park, we spotted two dessert choices that we don’t often see back home, so even though we were totally stuffed, and neither of us were hungry, we found the willpower to eat more.

Christina ordered her frozen yogurt from TCBY (which we sadly enough didn’t photograph.) She loves that stuff, and was a happy girl when we found it.

Then we walked by a Cinnabon, and I decided to order a minibon. Unfortunately, I forgot in my mad dash to inhale it, to photograph it.

We noticed this sign, which was oddly appropriate.

We relaxed at the hotel for the rest of this day, and after a trip to Walmart, we made dinner in the room.

A glorious pizza and breadsticks.

This was a little combo pack from Digornio, and really, really good! It came with cinnamon sticks as well, and we simply devoured it.

All in all, it was a good day. :thumbsup2

Tomorrow would bring some more off site dining, as Christina wanted some hotel room relaxation.

More to come!

You should try the frozen butterbeer! It's amazing as well! My daughter and I split *three* of them! We are Harry Potter nerds too and we were in heaven at WWoHP. We also had the shepherd's pie and pasties when we were there. Sounds like you had a great day! Did you like the rides in WWoHP?

You're right, we should have!

The only rides we went on were the Forbidden Journey (which was amazing!) and the ride of the hippogryph (which was short, but cute.)

The queue for FJ was AMAZING!

Enjoying this immensely! You are doing a great job, thanks for sharing!

Congratulations on your wedding!

What kind of puppy did you get? Do we get to see pictures of the puppy too?
