How to coordinate fastpasses for 2 separate families?

We have a family of 3 on a package and we are going to disney with another family of 3 on their own package. How do I get fastpasses for the 6 of us if we have different confirmation numbers? Is there a way to link our 2 reservations for the purpose of setting fastpasses?

Our last trip was when fastpass plus was brand new and I remember having trouble with the fastpass reservation times......it gave me suggested options and some of the suggested times conflicted with meal reservations. I sort of remember it being difficult to adjust the times around meals. Is it still difficult?

You add/link the entire other family as friends in your My Disney Experience account using email addresses. Change the settings so you can see each others information. Once you guys are linked then you can get all the fastpasses together. It is definitely easier now. The fastpass system just changed recently and we haven't booked our fastpasses yet.

If Family #2 doesn't have their own MDE account, just add their names to your account. After adding their names, then link their hotel reservation to your MDE.

You'll be able to pick FPs for everyone. The FP Superthread at the top of this Subforum has all the info you need to book FPs using the new system.
