How to clean a coach purse?

I have a brown coach purse that has a little swaude leather. I dropped it in the toilet. It is very dirty and needs to be cleaned. So since I already ruined the leather (just a little on the bottom) would it be ok to wash it in the washer?

I'd call Coach and find out what they recommend, but I wouldn't toss it in the washer.

Not sure about the washer, but I asked the dry cleaner if they could clean my purse and she said it would end up losing its shape if they did it.

I was going to try hand washing my wristlet and see what happens. I woundn't be too upset if it got really messed up. I would be too afraid to try my bigger purse first. I did google it and some people suggested a Magic Eraser to just spot clean.

The fact that my wristlet is so dirty may just be my excuse to get a new one.

My BF has the fabric one and she put it inside of a pillow case and washed it in the washer. Turned out great, but I have not had the courage to wash mine yet. I have all the coach cleaners for fabric and leather and none of them do a good job on anything other than surface dirt.

I have washed multiple coach bags in the washer. Works like a dream!
