Hi All,
I'm posting this to a few boards because some people aren't as obcessed as I am with WDW
and may not read all the boards so here goes.....
I just wanted to ask all of you experienced people how to buy 1 day tickets without letting on what is happening. I don't want to stand at the ticket windows on the day of our visit. My Dad is 70 years old and getting to be in very poor health. We are going to spend a week at Universal Studios ( we got the 5 day Kraft special passes for around $85 each ticket late winter).
Anyhow, we are staying at WDW CSR for 2 nights at the end of the trip- this leaves a Sunday open without any plans!. The idea was to "rest"
, swim and shop before the road trip home. However, Dad was talking about how this was probably going to be his last trip to the WDW area
as is health is in question, and he would love to visit the MK. I know he can't afford to go and thought I might surprise him with a 1 day ticket ( one for all 4 of us ) for his birthday gift. Of course the problem is that I don't have any money left after the Universal trip so I have to go as cheap as possible.
I wanted to know if I could buy the tickets ( 4- one day ) at our resort the night before or the morning of - are the tickets date specific?- the boys and he will catch on of I have to stand in the ticket lines at the park that morning - they think we are going to ride the monarail and ask for a front seat with the driver- it would absolutely be the best surprise of their lives if we instead headed for the park gates-.
Also, we like to be as close to the first people as possible to enter the park. Will the ticket booths (if I can't get the tickets before hand) open before the 9am opening time posted for the park or do we have to be there and wait for them to open?
If anyone has advise to help me sneak a surprise visit in for a very much loved Father and 2 adored sons PLEASE, please, please share
TIA
