How to book a split stay

I am going to book a 9-day August vacation soon. The first portion will be 5 days and the second 4 days.

Would I book the first 5 days and then wait 2 days to book the final 4?

Do I book 5 and 2 immediately and add a day each day and hope the room I want is still available for the final 2?

Or should I just book 2 days later than my 7-month window and book all 9 at the same time?

I am not sure if it matters but I have the points I need for the first 5 days but will borrow 2025 points for the final 4 days.

If by split stay you mean different resorts (or room category), each will have it's own booking window based on check in date of each segment.

A spilt stay is two separate reservations. You will not be able to book the final 4 days until that reservation's 7-month window opens. So, you'll have to wait 4 days after making your first reservation and not just 2 days.

You can’t book a split stay until 7 months out for each part. So, you can’t do a 5/4 split right at the 7 month mark. You can’t even do a 5/2. It’s one single reservation up to 7 nights.

I’d just book the 5 days and then wait and book the 4 when that window opens
