How to avoid MVMCP crowds?

We are going Dec 7-14 and plan on going to MVMCP on Tuesday. As much as I'd love to see parade I refuse to be in the mess on Main Street for the first one. Maybe my kids will make it to the later one. Anyways where do we want to be and what can we do in other areas away from the mess but still enjoy some party activity?

We were near btmrr and it was awesome. No crowds there at all.

Tomorrowland for the Totally Tomorrowland Christmas Show. Fantasyland where Scrooge McDuck, Pooh and Freiends etc. are out for meet and greets. Cosmic Rays has the cookies and hot cocoa.
