How the heck did my cat accomplish this?

This is so funny! Cats are...creative.

One of our cats used to escape too and he kept running up a tree in the front yard. He would cry pitifully and then I'd do my best to get him down. Once he did this and I heard a chorus of meows. I don't know what happened but there were two other cats I'd never seen in the tree and they were all meowing.

I left them to their meeting and eventually they all came down except one. Yes, that one and I helped him again pushover that I am.

haha!!

in middle school, a girl accidentally brought her kitten to school on the bus.

and once our then kitten somehow managed to get into the fridge. my friend and i were about 10yrs old, it was late at night, and we kept hearing this thumping sound. we were terrified, we thought someone was outside the house! we hid in the kitchen, afraid to wake my mom up (we were supposed to be in bed)... finally realized it was coming from the fridge. opened the door and the poor kitten shot out of there!

The amazing this is I've never known a cat that wanted to get into a moving vehicle.

We did have a small kitten one time that climbed into the sofa-sleeper and got stuck. We kept hearing this plaintive "mew" from the living room and couldn't figure out where it was coming from. We opened the sofa-sleeper and the tiny kitten emerged.:)

That 10 mile trip home, with me trying to hold the cat, was sooooo much fun, for me and for the cat. The poor thing was so traumatized.

:lmao: Great Story.

My cat is 18 and I think in Menopause because everytime I open the freezer she comes out of nowhere & sticks her head in it.

Kae

I just wanted to add that my 19 yo cat did exactly the same thing EVERY time we opened the fridge or freezer!!! It was quite annoying!!! We had to have him put to sleep last month, and I would give anything to have him under my feet doing that exact same thing!!!:sad1:

My girlfriend had some work done, imcluding new drywall being put up. The work was done over 2 days. So she gets home from work the second day after the workmen left. She's checking everything out, all looks great, but, funny thing, her cat is missing. Can't find the cat. Figures it got spooked by the workmen, ..... as time passes, she begins to think it accidently escaped outside ..... no cat anywhere. As they are getting ready for bed that night, horrible yeowling starts, so they are running around trying to find the cat. The yeowling gets louder and more frantic .... they finally figure .... you guessed it ... the cat was drywalled IN the wall !!!!

Ninja kittie!

Cats can be stealthy. You know how when you come home and are struggling with the door, how the cat can dart in so fast under your feet that you're not even sure if it was your cat. . .just some random animal blur? Well one time I was coming home. . .two toddlers in tow and I swore I saw something black. Our cat is a gray tabby. Well, I looked around and saw nothing but the cat, but was sure I did see something black. After convincing myself that I must be crazy. . .and checking under all the furniture, I let it go. Well, fast forward two months later, I decided to declutter the kids toys. . .there were several wicker baskets full, on the bottom shelves of our entertainment center. Wouldn't you know it. . .at the bottom of one of those baskets was a DEAD BIRD!!! :scared1: and ewwwwww! Everything went in the garbage. But at least, at that point, I knew I wasn't crazy. I knew I saw something black come in with that cat!

Ahhhhh. .. poor kitty. :(

We were driving into town today and I heard a really loud meowing from the car. I pulled over onto the side of the road and popped the hood and sitting on top of my battery was a black kitten. We put him in the car with us and took him to town.

Several years ago we had a siamese kitten, named Booger. We heard meowing frantically during the middle of the night. We started searching for Booger all over and finally realized meows were from the bathroom. She had fell into the toilet and couldn't get out!! Glad no one had gotten up during the night to use the potty... Could you imagine if you had sat on a toilet with a cat inside?:scared1:

My grown DD's tried to adopt our own cat. They had been outside checking out the snow heard a cat an pulled it from bushes. Snuck it in the house to DD's room in basement. Then got up the nerve to come ask if they could adopt another cat. I knew our black cat had went outside an asked if it was a black cat it was.

I said Sure we can adopt another cat....they eventually figured out they had adopted their own cat....

Then there was my totally blind friend who had several cats. A friend kept asking her when she got the other cat. Peggy said I not gotten no more cats ann asked what does the cat look like? Friend is describing an Peggy said OH that is Nosey, friend argued with her. Later that night Peggy did discover she had another cat she did not know about. It was going outside as she let her dogs out an coming back in with her dogs.

Her sons in doing their nightly head check for the cats was counting to 8 (which was how many they thought they had) an stopping It took them a few days to figure out they really did have an extra cat. Found out for sure when 1 son counted 5 an the other 4...Even then the boys ended up gathering up cats putting them in a bedroom with shut door to come up with 9 cats.

we've got 2 and i soooo hear you!!! lol mischief is the good cat....jazzie the bad one. lol

i remember when i was pg with dd in the summer of 2005 and upstairs napping while hubby did renos on the babies room. he had the back door open to cut the wood for the windows etc. all of a sudden through our window i hear jasmine! at the top of his lungs. she had escaped- he thought he had blocked her upstairs by closing the door between the kitchen and stairs to outside and basement. he looks over to our neighbours cement pathways....she's lounging in the shade!!!! ours are indoor cats, so he tears off to get her and the toad runs away on him. he did eventually get her back home, i think she was hissing the whole way tho. that was it for awhile...now that the kids are a bit older and running in and out of the house during the summer she's gotten quite brave and tears out the door before we can blink, onto the deck and through the gate. usually to be picked up by dh by the scruff and hissing the whole way. she may be older and a little pudgy, but shes fast and mighty when she needs or wants to be! lol
