How soon can I start using points?

Good Morning!

My wife and I just purchased at Copper Creek this past weekend, and I am wondering how soon we can begin using our points. Our closing paperwork has not arrived yet, but we are expecting it sometime this week. Does anyone have a time table on how soon we can use our points after completing and signing the closing paperwork? Thanks!

Your closing paperwork should have the registration information that you need to access the website.

Contact your guide, ask him to do his/her job and help you make your first reservation. If there isn't regular availability, the guides may have access to their inventory. The guide will probably pass you off to someone at MS but the guides help should get you started.

Your points should be in your account same day of purchasing them, for use immediately. I think there is a restriction on when reservations can be made (I think minimum 30 days out) until you close.

This correct. Your points I believe can be used to make reservations as soon as you pay the first payment on the deposit (even if you split the deposit up over a month or two) and any reservation needs to be after the scheduled close. The quickest they are closing right now is 30 days.

You can see my timeline in a another post.
We called on a saturday to pull the trigger and gave a deposit. Had an activation code by monday morning.
By wednesday, I had our paperwork with member number.
Need member number and activation code to access the website to book your own reservation. So I could have reserved then. My 11 month date was the following week, so I booked the following monday at 8am with no issue. Banked my 2018 points and used 2019 all in one transaction.
I had not completed my payment at the time of booking the reservation.
I have finished paying now, and await my closing date of April 23. Then I can worry about setting up a payment method for dues, which isn't something you can do until after you close.
