We are thinking of going to Disneyland - Jan 2009. :cool1:

What is the booking window for a room at the Disneyland Hotel?:confused3

Has anyone used points at Disneyland?

Did you have problems getting a standard room?

I have lots of questions but I am trying here first before bugging MS.

You can book at Disneyland at 11 months from checkout. We stayed at Disneyland last summer - the Grand Californian, not the Disneyland Hotel. We had absolutely no problem getting exactly what we wanted. Disneyland is great, hope you enjoy it!

Thanks Minnie Fan :)

I am so excited about DL. I am all ready planning what we should do.

How long did you stay? Will 4 full days be enough time to see EVERYTHING? :scared:

Don't know when we would be back again.

Yes, 4 full days will give you a chance to see everything in both parks. Everything is much closer together at DL so it is easier to do quickly.
Check out the Disneyland boards here and Mouseplanet for some good tips.

That reply is technically correct but not correct in reality. The policy is that you can book 11 months out. However, I just tried to book for January and was told I couldn't because the 2008 points chart for the Disneyland hotels isn't out yet.

Four days should be perfect if you are spending all of the time at Disneyland/CA Adventure. We stayed for 7 nights but only spent 3 days at the Disney parks - we did Universal and some other things on the other days. We all agreed that we would have preferred spending one more day at the Disney parks - they were the highlight of our trip.

I just booked DL-standard view for July 21-25 today. We stayed in a premium view in February that we booked the month before.

Hey MermaidJan, I was going to post that I stayed at the Grand Californian last year on points and loved it when I noticed you were from Franklin Square, Me too! It's a Small World after all! There are alot of perks for staying at the DGC. If you stay at this resort you get to do a power walk in the Am with a CM before the park opens. A Entry into the park inside your hotel and they even let guests in 1/2 hour early so you can ride soaring first. We had the front row! It was a great way to start your day! Have a wonderful trip!

We have stayed at all 3 hotels at DLR on points. As the hotels tend to fill up, I would book the trip as soon as allowed. We tried booking 2 months out on several occasions with no luck as there were no vacancies.
