I have ADR's for both Chef Mickey and Crystal palace. I chose most all buffets because I have a 9 year old that would not be happy with the selection on the kid menus over and over again. How similar will the food be at these two places? Both reservations are for dinner. Thanks

Did you see the actual menu's? Or are the pretty generic? I have been to both. Atmosphere is different in each, I think. My memory isn't the greatest to tell you exactly why food is different, but I know they aren't exactly the same. I am not much help, eh?

We've eaten at CP for dinner twice and really enjoy it ... never been to CM.

That said, we overdid it on buffets this trip (with a 5 adult to 1 toddler ratio, buffets are easier than traditional sit downs for us) and they all started to blend together. We did the Cape May Clam Bake, Hollywood & Vine, and Crystal Palace in three straight days - each was good, but not too distinct from the rest. I would imagine for the menus posted on allears that CM is much the same as these.

If you are set on buffets, try for some variety. Boma and Ohanna (family style not sit down) are different from those mentioned above, as is Tusker House.

Keep in mind that kid options are pretty standard at all buffets ... chicken nuggets, mac /n cheese, corn/carrots, pasta with tomato sauce ... but your child can choose to eat anything off of the "adult" part of the buffet as well.

Crystal Palace has great food, good assortment.

Chef Mickeys...well, gone done hill over the years, even our grandson didn't like anything on his plate.

We preferred the dinner food at CP. They have a chicken pasta that we really liked. The kids food was similar at both. Although we liked the food better at CP, we enjoyed both. The atmosphere is great at CM, and how can you beat dinner with Mickey?
