How should we fill the time?

We are having a wishes wedding, the ceremony will take place at 12pm and the reception at the Whitehall Room will finish at around 4pm. We then have a gap until the dessert party in Epcot at 8pm.

We had originally planned to return to our hotel rooms during this time but we are concerned it will feel like an anti-climax and we might fall asleep then be reluctant to go out again!

So, since there are only 6 people attending the wedding, we are considering hiring a limo for 3 hours and asking them to drive somewhere. Has anyone ever done this? Any ideas where we could go?

Does anyone have any other ideas about what we could do with the time?

You could go to Downtown Disney. I dunno what time Cirque du Soleil shows, but w/6 people, you could do that if the timing worked, or you could just walk around. They have that tethered balloon ride there now, which I think is only like $16/person, so you could do that. That would def. be very romantic and fun. Other than that, you could go into one of the parks. Maybe Hollywood Studios since then you could take the boat right to E.P.C.O.T.

You could hire the Grand1 for a couple of hours.

Mini Golf in your dress? ;)

A lot of people have said they have really enjoyed having a break though.

O yea, both of those things are good. Fantasia Gardens is a LOT of fun for mini-golf! They have music from the movie, hedge animals...it's just really cool! :thumbsup2

We took a break. Our ceremony was in Epcot at 9:00am and our reception at ADH from 10:00 to 3:00. We did photos with Misty till around 5:00pm and then went to our resort to rest (I just had to get out of my dress at that point). Our guests went back to their resorts and either rested or went in the pool. We all got back together in Epcot at 8:00pm. I think we all really enjoyed the rest and it did not seem anti-climatic going back out. We were really looking forward to the Dessert Party and it seem like the party just kept going and gave us something to look forward to.

We had 50 people. I guess it might be different with six but you really might want to rest for a while.

We had thirty five, and they all loved the break. I can tell you even if it was just me and DH - I would still have the break. It gave us time to be alone for the first time that day. We just sat and talked about how everything had went, and opened cards and presents. We read the guest book entries and it was just wonderful. Thinking back, it was my favorite time of the day. :goodvibes
