How should Crocs fit?

I just bought my 1st pair of Crocs today. I purchased the beach Med (w 8-9) I usually wear a 7 1/2 to 8 size shoe. The small felt like my toes were right at the top of them so I went with the med. They are big, but okay with the strap on. Are the supposed to fit large? :confused3 We leave for WDW in 5 days and I am wondering if I bought the right size? TIA

I am a size 8 womens shoe....that being said with my Beach Crocs, I, like you, felt the small were to crowding. I bought the MED (W8-9) and they fit perfect in length but are W I D E on me. I actually (the other night) had a friend say to me (as she looked down at my Crocs), those look too big for you....BUT no, these are the right ones....(like you) just a bit roomier than my usual sneakers or shoes or clogs or flip flops.

If this is your first pair...go slowly...I tended to "trip up" from time to time while I got used to them but I will say I LOVE them  !!! They are just so comfy.

Looking for a navy blue for the winter months. I have the light blue beach and the blue/ivory athens. LOVE THEM.

I also put them on the top shelf of my dishwasher (with no dishes) and wash them up and then dry them outside on my back deck in the sun.

I wish I had a camera the day I opened the dishwasher as my DH and two DS' walked in the house into the kitchen as I am pulling my Crocs out of the dishwasher...."OKAY, Mom, you have really lost it now...that is for DISHES not SHOES".... :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Yep, Crocs are supposed to "float" around your foot! If they feel loose, they fit correctly. Crocs aren't meant to squeeze your feet, and if your toes are banging the front of the shoe, it's definitely a sign to go up to the next size.

Love,
Proud owner of two pairs of Beaches and a pair of Mary Janes :)

loose and floaty (is that a word?). I love my crocs! I have 2 pair and 1 pair of flip flops. My niece just got a pair of mary janes and I will get a pair of those. I can't waith until Disney crocs come out!

Thanks! Your replies make me feel better. I can go an put my crocs in my bag now. I have to start packing tonight. I have to work the day we leave so it will be a crazy week.

momrek06-That is funny that you want navy that is the color that I got. You said that you have the light blue which is the color I want. Well maybe my next pair. I can't wait to see the new Disney ones! :)

POOH: Where did you end up going for your navy? I have been to Dick's, Sports Authority and Emblens and NO navy!

I actually want navy with NO holes. Maybe I will look on the Crocs website.

momreko6: I got mine from Cabelas. It is an outdoor (hunting/fishing store) there is a really big store in Pa about an hour from were we live, they also have them online. I thnk they only had the beach and the off road styles. The Sports Authority by me also had them, but not too many.

I got my navy crocs at Dillards. I also have a pair of light blue. I have two pair of flip flops---black and navy. I can't wait to get some brown mary janes--they are soooo cute. Ofcourse I am very excited about the Disney crocs due out in October.

I just had to return my new crocs because they were too small...size 11 womens. My toes was hanging out of the hole!!! :)

I saw on a website that they should be 1/4 " - 1/2 " big all around your foot.

I already ordered replacement size 12 for my boats!!!

I just got my first pair of crocs and wore them most of the day on Sunday. I got a blister on my left foot by the black piece where the strap is attached. On my right foot, it is sore there, but no blister.

So .. my crocs are too small, right? There is no way there is 1/4 to 1/2 inch if they are rubbing enough to raise a blister! I'm wondering if I wear them with socks will I be ok? I doubt I can return them after wearing them all day.

I wear an 11 women's .. sometimes a 10. I got size 11 Caymen.

Any advice from Croc experts? I do love how they feel .. just hate the blisters!

Hi Cool Dis Cat,

Try the socks. It doesn't hurt.

I have never work them but I did just check out a couple websites to see how they should fit to make sure my other post was correct...

They said 1/4 - 1/2" in front and in back and you should be able to comfortabley stick your finger between the strap and your heel...

Maybe the socks will stretch them...if not, welcome to the size 12 women's club!!! :rotfl:

I just bought a pair of Crocs that feel fine, but I think are probably a bit small because the upper touches the sides and top of my left foot, and using the ankle strap pulls my foot forward so it touches at the front.

Someone suggested I put them in the dryer for a couple minutes, then wear them with a couple pair of socks to stretch them out. I'm going to give this a try. (They're comfortable as they are, but the whole point in getting them was to avoid blisters and foot pain on our trip!)

Also, I figure I'm mostly going to wear them without the ankle strap, maybe use it only when going on a ride where the shoe might slip off, so if stretching out the strap doesn't work, it should still be OK.

Any updates? Did putting them in the dryer then walking around in them with a couple pair of socks stretch them out? I think I may need to do these with mine as the very tip of my toe barely touches the front. I feel a bigger size would be too big. :confused3

I am wondering too..I have a pair of black ones that fit perfect..but then got a pair of hot pink that seem snug around the top of my foot. I don't have time to return them and get a replacement..so was hoping I could strech them a bit for a better fit...

Am so confused about Crocs. I have small, NARROW feet. Whenever I have tried them on I feel like I'm wearing shoeboxes!! Is there are special art to walking in them?how long does it take to get comfortable? What size would you recommend for shoe size 5 1/2 ?? My feet hurt no matter what I walk in and I would love to find the "magic" shoe!!

Sorry, I haven't done it yet. I realized the other day that it's because I don't wear shoes in the house, so I need to do it when I'm going to be out and about. But then I'm going to look dorky (and sweaty!) wearing heated Crocs & socks in 80+ heat!

I'll try to do it today, we're going to take the boys out to a local park where hopefully no one knows me... :lmao:

I did it! I stretched them out. What I did was heat a shallow pot of water on the stove then dip the tip of the shoe in for about 30 seconds or so after the water was boiling. After I got the shoe out I put my hand in there and pushed and stretched the toe part out from the inside. After I held it like that for a little while, it stuck out by itself. I didn't like the way it looked so I redipped it back into the hot water and pushed it back to look normal again and it looked just like new again except BIGGER! :goodvibes Now they fit perfect!
