How rude and Selfish Is This?!?!?!?

I only went because someone sent me a link, so I could go over and defend myself. I had no idea the board even existed before today.

Other boards? What? No way! The DIS is the only board there is!

Clowns? There are needy clowns? Those poor things, let's take up a collection of pom poms...................no, not the cheerleadery kind, those puffy things, they are called pom poms right? :confused3

That white face paint stuff must not be cheap either. Had I known about the needy clowns, I would have stocked up on some of that stuff at the after Halloween clearance sale. I will be prepared for next year.:teacher:

So did you defend yourself? Did it help?

Now back OT....how do you KNOW that someone was stealing shelfish from the food bank bag? Did you personally witness it? That is one question that has yet to be answered. I know know why saying one way or the other is so difficult. :confused3

So, now that you have opinions, what are you going to do?

No wait! I've got a few more... I didn't get to all of my feeding-frenzy references!

LOL!!!!! That is cracking me up. But sorry, nope. Cutting you off. :rotfl:
Perhaps you can move on to pack animal antics? Or perhaps some carrion bird allusions? You are so much more than just sharks. I believe in you--make me proud.

Okay, okay, all kidding aside.................

this didn't involve the furry white lobster thing known as Lucas did it?

You know, I heard that on The Apprentice they had some challenge this past week involving donations of Crocs to needy people who like large, colorful shoes . . . .

There was actually an article in our paper that gently used Crocs are a huge hit in Africa.

*sniffle*...I won't let you down!

If someone is collecting food from multiple parties to take to a charity in good faith and they remove items from the bag...it is wrong.

If someone is cleaning out the refrigerator or pantry in a house they own and eat something rather than giving/throwing it away, it's called not wasting food.

You live under their roof, it's their food. Move out, it's yours.

Here you go!

Whoa. are you serious? Do stores do that? What is the point? There have to be animals at the very least that this would endanger. Not to mention homeless people. Why would the store care if someone took it if they were just throwing it away?

I think the windex comment was referencing another poat about spraying windex on your own food before tossing it, so you won't be tempted to go in the trash for it later while dieting. Don't know if that thread was a joke, but I think the comment here was jokey.

OK. I am going to assume that "you know because you know" and you are willing to bank on the fact that your information is 100% reliable. If so, I would tell all the people who give the food to her to bring to the donation center that she goes through it first.

Maybe they'll care, maybe they won't. Then you have done your job, soothed your conscience etc.

Not in my family. I mean my parents label their own food and rarely share with each other. That's just the way my family is.

Okay, I haven't been on the DIS much for the past couple of months, so the whole "pudding" thing is going *whoosh* over my head, but I gotta ask - do your parents really not share food?

Have they ever shared? Even when they first got married? If one of them cooks something, are they allowed to use the other's ingredients as long as they let them share when supper's finished? When you were growing up, how did they decide who would buy your food? At what age were you responsible for buying your own? Do they ever "cheat" and sneak each other's food?

I'm not trying to be mean or snarky, and you certainly don't have to answer, I'm just really curious.

Now that you mention it, though, it's a good thing DH isn't a big chocolate eater. Otherwise, I may be tempted to label my bag of Ghiridelli dark chocolate raspberry-filled squares with a big "HANDS OFF - this bag belongs to ARIEL ONLY!"

:cool2: Will somebody PLEASE explain the pudding references to me. I see them all over the place but I never got the back story. I'm dying to know...........

She was upset because she had made some of the cooked pudding and her dad went behind her back and ate it all. All of it!!!! And she is the one who bought the package and the milk and she is the one who made it too.
