How rude and Selfish Is This?!?!?!?

Why would people donate fresh seafood? :confused3

From what I know it's things like jars of peanut butter and sauce, boxes of pasta, canned soup, condiments, etc.

You need to read or re-read the replies from page 1 to understand this.

I don't think it is proper to equate an entire species to this type of behavour.

When somebody thinks only of him/herself and hoards food other people need, that is SELFISH.

When you go out to eat seafood, you may or may not order SHELLFISH.

SHELFISH is not a word in the English language, unless you are making a clever pun...but you need a certain level of grammatical sophistication for that. As exhibited in this thread by several other posters.

Did the person replace the taken items with an equal amount?

Or did she just get some free shopping done?

That's hysterical! :lmao: Shelfish at a food bank would go bad quickly, don't you think?

But yes, that is stealing. Report her to the others, and/or tell her it's stealing.

Free shopping. And this person has plenty of food / money, it's not like they need to be taking from the donations.

Hey, a saw a guy in a cadilac pull up to the back of a food store and pull items from the garbage. I am assuming it was for his own family!!!

Mikeeee

Maybe he got the cadillac from the garbage too. You'd be surprised what people throw out.

I wouldn't make too much of a big deal out of that. It may be a temporary situation. When I was 22 I was still living in my mother's house and we were both on strike for 4 months. We had a grand total of $150 a week coming in to cover the expenses for us two plus my 2 school age siblings. After a couple of months we swallowed our pride and went to the church food pantry.

You didn't answer how you know this?

Was there pudding inlolved?

Did it involve person A, B or C?

Uh...MUST every thread she posts now have unnecessary snark?

OP, sounds like one of the most despicable things I've heard in a while. My only thought (not that it excuses the person) would be perhaps she herself actually IS needy in some way and is too embarassed to take from the pantry?

I've worked with a food bank for years.

One thing I've learned, you really don't know all that well who has plenty of money. Sometimes people seem like they do, and then you find out the truth.

sometimes it seems like they don't, and then you find out they are millionaires.

I brought a bag into Church onetime with my donations and I saw a guy pick it up and walk out with it. It disturbed me. I found out a couple months later who he was and that he was under severe financial pressure. I think he was just too embarrassed to actually go into the food bank and ask, so he stole.

I guess that since you "know" this, don't let her take your donations in anymore.
