How Quickly Do BCV Studios Get Booked?

We would like to stay in a BCV Studio for 6 nights in September 2004 (slightly more than 11 months from now). If we do not book soon (by renting from a member with BCV as home resort) and instead wait until 7 months before our trip, what are the odds that we will not be able to get a Studio at BCV? Thanks in advance for your responses.

I WAS ABLE TO GET A STUDIO FOR EASTER WEEK LAST YEAR AND I BOOKED LESS THAN 7 MONTHS OUT. OUR HOME RESORT IS THE WILDERNESS LODGE BUT I REALLY WANTED TO STAY AT THE BCV. IT IS A BEAUTIFUL PLACE AND I DON'T THINK YOU WILL HAVE A PROBLEM WITH A SEPTEMBER RESSIE.

Thanks, boysx3. That makes me feel a little better. Are the busiest times of the year for WDW also usually the busiest for DVC resorts, or do DVC members tend to travel more often at off-peak times?

Just last week I made a BCV studio reservation for the week of January 22nd. That's under 4 months out, and Member Services said that there was plenty of availability.

DVC structures the points to try to keep the resorts busy all year around. But the busiest times still seem to pretty much coincide with the non-DVC resorts. An exception is the first couple of weeks in December. Those days have require the fewest DVC points, even though the holiday decorations are up, and the parks have their special holiday programs in full swing. So those nights really go fast.

But I don't think you'll have anything to worry about in September.

I just booked a 2BR for the first week of May. I did it day by day based on their recommendation because there wasn't alot of inventory, but I got all my week with no problem. I think September is one of the slower months so I wouldn't think you would have any trouble at the 7 month window. If so, you can waitlist.

I had several studios for the first week of september this year. I booked them all day-by-day at the 7 month window and had no availability problem except for the sunday night preceding labor day, which was completely booked at the 7 month window. (I did get this night for 3 studios via the waitlist). I was actually able to change around some of the weekend days at about 2 months out with no problem. However, I know for a fact the 1BR units were completely booked for this same week at the 7-month window. I got the last one at 7 months + 5 days out.
