How old were you the first time you went to Disney World or Disneyland? I'm also curious how many people were like me, and went for the first time as an adult.

1st trip: 1+
2nd trip: ~13
3rd (and most recent) trip: 20 turning 21

I was 12, there was only Magic Kingdom in Orlando at the time.

Funny thing is, all I remember is driving down the main drive in the rain and turning around (because it was raining so hard.)
It was around July/August-

I do remember the wax museum we spent the rest of that day in-
that was cool!

and I remember the pool, the Days Inn hotel and that we were across from WetnWild.

Since I took my children in 94, I've been back there 7 times---
can you tell I'm hooked? LOL.
:wave2:

Disneyland: 18
Disneyworld: 26

Approximate ages - but never had the Disney experience as a child!

I was 22 and Epcot was only 1 year old. I think I enjoyed WDW so much more than I would have with "shorter legs"!

I was also deprived--I was 26! Thank goodness, DH took me for our Honeymoon and now I'm hooked!!!

I was 12 and my mom made T-shirts for us with cutout Disney charactors. My grandma used to live near WDW so we went about every other year.:sunny:

19 - I got engaged at Disney World
33 - Disney Cruise

we will go back to DW again when the kids get a little older.

I was 7. The perfect age, I think (although it depends on the kid!). I was old enough to get on all the rides without being scared of anything (like the snow white ride), tall enough for the height restrictions (loved BTMRR!), but young enought to BELIEVE in the Magic (still do, really!). And I'm sure my parents liked not having diaper changing stops or needing to push a stroller around.

But my BF is going for the first time this December at age 32. I swear he's more excited about going than I am. He grew up poor, and never had a vacation of any type, let alone WDW. So he say's he's having the childhood he never had! I'm working very hard to make this the perfect trip for him.
