Okay, I am 30 this year. I have always really liked trendy clothes and look younger than I am cuz of the way I dress.

This year though, I am starting to feel silly dressed in the latest stuff. DH said I was getting to old to dress like that. (but I'm younger than most women in hollywood!)

What do you think?? Is there an age where it becomes innappropriate to dress in the latest styles, or do you think it helps keep you young??

Tressa ~ I am not sure what to tell you. I work in a mall where I see women younger than me (31) dressed in very conservative clothes everyday. Then, I see others dressed in "style" that are much older! I say, wear what you want to wear ... within reason of course! ;)
Sorry, I am not much help! I try to stick with the "styles" as much as my work uniform (frumpy white pants and red top) and such allow!

I say wear what you want to wear. It's always best to be your own person. If you're happy, then I'm sure most people around you will be too. Don't worry about what other people think because you can never please everybody in your life!

As the saying goes, "Don't worry; be happy!":D :D :D

While I agree "wear what you want to wear," you might ask DH what he means, he maybe seeing something you don't.

need a pic, ya know it when you see it

I work with the public and to see women come in my age 946 and proud of how I look) and dressed like they are in their 20s makes me want to hurl. I am not fat and take care of my body and could dress like that BUT I chose to act my age and dress classy sexy and appropriate for my age. I am hearning more people talk about plastic surgery but can't understand why this world is going the other way. Today on the Today show they were talking about old people want to drive young cars, oy did my son look at me. LOL :D

I can be no help because I want the 80's to come back:

Examples:

Casual/ house: stretch pands with t-shirts that almost go to the knees to hide hips/thighs (of course, I did not to hide my hips and thighs 20 years ago!)

shoes: not big , thick heels. I like the regular pumps with slender heels

I know what you're saying. I'm 46 and last year my daughter "took me shopping." She's almost 25 and the things she picked out for me are just not things I would normally wear. But she thought I looked good in them so I bought them, but rarely wear them as I just feel "too different" in them, if you know what I mean. I like how I look in them, but just feel like other people might think I'm "too old" to wear them. I sometimes wish I didn't think so much about what other people might be thinking of me. :teeth:
