How often does it really rain in December?

I usually go in the summer, so I'm used to the daily afternoon thunderstorms. However, I thought with this December trip that we would not have to deal with a lot of rain. Looking at the weather forecasts, I'm seeing a lot of rain for next week. :guilty: Now I don't mind the rain in the hot summer :umbrella: , but I sure don't like cold rain.

Someone please tell me that these weather forecasts are usually wrong. I think I'm just starting to get the pretrip jitters.

Thanks

We usually go in the summer and have to deal with the rain. We just got back last night from our first December trip. We were there for 4 days. It rained almost all day Thursday and Friday, a little bit on Saturday and most of Sunday. I don't know what it's normally like ... we must just bring the rian with us . Instead of wet and steamy, it was wet and cold.

We were there in Dec. 2002 and it was monsoon season and cold to boot.

Unfortunately when we were there last week it rained ALL DAY Thursday and part of Friday. One of the ice cream vendors said that was very unusual though. I think the forecast for this week called for rain as well.

Thanks!

Oh well, I guess rain at Disney :umbrella: is better than snow here :cold: .

I have the stroller cover, ponchos & umbrella's!

Actually, December is the dry season. It usually rains when a cold front is going through, and it tends to last all day. The summer rains tend to be short and happen around 3 p.m. or so.

They keep changing the forecast on us. We leave thursday and every channel is conflicting and keeps changing their stories!! I told DH....It's just like it is at home (new england) I'll believe it when I see it. :pug:

We have been going the second weekend in December for a number of years and 2002 was pretty awful. We just got back last night and I will second the sentiments that it was COLD and RAINY on Thursday. Luckily it stopped raining for us to enjoy MVMCP, but started misting up again as we were leaving the MK that night. Friday was a wash, but we managed to see the early CP and it was dry. Saturday was the best day of the weekend and yesterday it was easy to pack up and come home. At least I expect it to be nasty up in Michigan this time of year!

I went in early December from 1998 to 2004, 2002 was really the only bad time with rain. The other years had little or no rain.

I just got back from a trip Nov 25-Dec5, and there was only one rainy day, and even then it cleared up bu mid afternoon.

Most rain there this time of year seems to be a quick storm in the afternoon, not the days of rain that really mess up your plans.
