Just wondering how often everybody gets to go. We go twice with in a year for about 2 weeks each stay. We get a season pass so we only have to buy the tickets on our first trip. Our next trip will be end of 11/08 to the first week or so in 12/08. We our ready have our reservations I just dont remember the dates. If we lived closer we would go a lot more. I guess we need to move to Florida but I like my job. So how often do you go. ( to FW )

Our first trip to FW was in December of last year. We have been making 2 trips yearly, but hotel-ing it.....

So far this year, we've got 3 trips planned, but we live fairly close.... there's a 4th one in the works.

We live in Pennsylvania, and average 2-3 trips to FW a year. We just bought
our first tt, already have 2 trips planned before Christmas, and are hoping to sneak in a third! (We're hoping to plan a trip to Texas one of these trips down to FW--How far away is it?) We are both teachers, so we have summers off when our kids do!

....but I like my job.

Man....dont EVER quit then...............I dont think I even KNOW anyone who likes their job. You are living a dream...lucky dude. What do you do?

Oh...and we went to the fort for our first time in Dec also...although Katrina set us back a couple of years, we try to do Disney at least once a year, and will not do anything other than the Fort again. Next trip is planned for late May, we'll be staying at the Fort and going to Universal Studios, no Disney parks this time.

We have been going to Disney on average three times per year since 2000 and hoteled it each time. We bought our first camping gear ('06 30' Airstream) in May of 2006 and stayed at Ft. Wilderness for the first time the week of July 4, '06 and again in October for MNSSHP and the Swan for Christmas '06. We have stayed at FW four times this year for a week each, except for MNSSHP in October when we stayed at the Fort for a four day weekend.

We stayed spent Spring Break '07 at Saratoga Springs the first week in April. We live in Atlanta and it's a 6-1/2 hour drive without the Airstream and about 7-1/2 hours with the Airstream.

We usually go to FW once a year. We've done 2 trips within a year but 1 was at FW and 1 was a stay at POR.

The last couple of years we have made it several times a year. Usually for spring break for the week and then in the fall for a couple of long weekends. With the exception of buying the park tickets we usually use Disney points and stay for next to 0$. Gotta love that.

Rog, make that two of us that like their jobs. I've been with the same company for 28 years now. Life is much too short to get out of bed every morning and do something you hate.

Minnies' Mate, you ever get airborne. 6.5 hrs from Atlanta. Whew!

We have been to WDW about 9 times which averages about every three years. We have stayed at FW once and that was last April. :thumbsup2

if you are going to be there memorial day, i'll bring my family.

What we try and do is go twice in one year with a year or two off and try and stay 30 to 40 days each trip now that the kids are grown and gone. We get the AP and try and get two trips use out of it. Even when they were home we still did the same but only for two weeks for each trip. This cycle we are here from 16 Dec 2007 till 26 Jan 2008 and will come back from 20 Oct 2008 till 1 Dec 2008. We are really looking forward to the Oct/Nov 2008 trip since that will be our first in 17 WDW trips that will cover Halloween and Thanksgiving.

Since our sons are both Disney Freeks and now live in Ca., we plan on one trip over X-mas and they have both been able to join us in 2005/06 and 2007/08 for 10 to 14 days.

..........but then we just got our 5'er last year. We like to go to the Food and Wine Festival so I think we will visit at least once a year. Hopefully more.

I WILL be there for Memorial Day....Thats great...we can get a nice big group for the porch pic, and I have a feeling I'll be pretty hung over Tuesday morning!!!:confused3

We try to go twice, at Christmas and then in the summer. Try to get as much use out of the AP's as we can! We stayed at the Fort for the first time New Year's '07. We stayed for a couple of nights before checking into POR. We liked it so much we bought a pop-up and only stay at the Fort now! We also wish we lived closer than Texas so we could go even more!

I live about 3 hours from the Tx. La. border. For us it's 1,000 miles one way to FW. With no trailer we have made it in 15 hours. But now pulling a trailer and staying closer to the speed limit 18 to 20 hours. What do you want to see here?

I am a Plumber. What I like about my job is I am friends with the owners there 2 good guys. So nobody is looking over my shoulder. If I want a 2 hour lunch break, or take 3 weeks off for Disney they dont mind plus my normal hours our about 9-4 and since the main office is 30 miles from my house I dont even have to go to the shop but once a week.

LoneStar, you're a lucky one... .few love their jobs. I love my job too, but then, I'm my own boss....lol... TheBigGuy loves his too - he flies helicopters for a living....mercy. I'm so excited to meet so many Disers - what a great bunch! OK, group hug......

My Bro-n-law owns a plumbing business here in La, they've been overbooked with business since Katrina, he's making a small fortune these days. He only has like 4 or 5 employees though.

Thanks. I always wanted to fly choppers. But the were no schools around here when I had the time to go to school.

We went on our first trip back in Jan. '06. In two weeks, we will be heading down for our second trip. But this time, we have APs starting with this trip. While at the Fort this time, we are going to talk with them about an early December trip and another trip in Jan. '09 before the APs expire.:thumbsup2

My problem is I am a full-time firefighter and I own my own landscaping/lawn maintenance business. From mid-February to Thanksgiving, I can never get enough days off in a row to make it worth the 9 hour trip.:confused3
