How often do you cook

My MIL does this on occasion. Not over the sink per se, but over the counter... Five feet from the kitchen table!

Why would you do that? Unless you were afraid it was going to come right back up...

Very rarely, but I did this just today.
Spent the whole morning cleaning the house, then heated up a can of soup for lunch. But I wasn't that interested in eating, much less cleaning up, so I ate over the sink right out of the pot.:confused3

I cook nightly, sometimes more than once a day. I don't think I have ever eaten over the sink. A meal is an event for me and even a sandwich gets a sit down and a plate.

I cook daily...and I have never eaten over the sink, unless I was eating a really juicy fruit that was going to squirt all over, and even then I usually just grab a paper towel and eat over that.

Never, but I have taken a piece of pasta out of the colander just to make sure if it was al dente or not

I eat lobster over the sink, because it makes such a mess...but that's really it. I will eat my lunch (usually a sandwich and chips) on our island in the kitchen. It faces into the living room, and I can still see the tv and munch on my chips without getting crumbs on the couch or the floor.

Since the last time I cooked was in 2003, I guess never. I do eat some of my husband's cooking over the sink. It helps to be somewhere convenient in case I need to spit it out.

My DH is away for work for all this year. Unfortunately, I've started eating standing at the counter. Not a habit I like. Forcing myself to eat alone at the dining room table even though its lonely there.

I cook every day. I never eat over the sink, though..

Only a few snacks. And that is because my toddler is usually trying to escape through the doggy door in the kitchen. :rotfl2:

I cook 4-5 nights a week and end up eating at least two of them standing at the counter. We have a set-up similar to an island and my daughter sits on a stool facing me while I cook (and she does homework or just fills me in on her day) so sometimes its easier just to spoon it out right there and eat. We rarely sit at the dining table now that its just the two of us, its either at the bar or at the coffee table:sad2: But, in my defense, we always spend the mealtime, both prep and eating, together chatting each other up:)

I can't recall ever eating over the sink. I think only guys do that. ;)
