a candle ?

I am like clock work, I do in my office on Fri-Saturday night when im on dis, got music playing, its a relaxing time for me. look forward to it

Almost daily. I too find it relaxing. After cleaning the house today I burned Yankee Candle Autumn Lodge (a discontinued favorite) and watched A Tree Grows in Brooklyn on tv while my chicken was roasting in the oven. That'sjust about perfection for me. :cheer2:

Almost never except for birthday cakes and for the jack-o-lanterns on Halloween.

We do when we are home on the weekends. We like the seasonal fragrances.

Never, too dangerous.

Do you have animals that would knock them over or small kids? I burn them all the time and I have a real phobia of fire. I place them out of reach on on something that is able to handle the heat. I always blow them out well before going to bed. Really just curious as to why they are too dangerous?

Whenever I am home, I have a Yankee Candle burning in my living room.

Never. I've never understand the desire to have a fragrance in a home. (I also don't wear perfume and don't really appreciate it when others do.) Guess I just don't consider a fragrance of any importance.

Too, my BIL is a fireman and he's always telling us about the number of home fires caused by candles. So when I see a candle burning, it makes me anxious.

It's pretty hard to start a fire with the big jar candles, like I use.

My husband is a fire chief, has been a firefighter for 20 years, and he says he has been to a handful of house fires caused by candles, and they've all been the candles in a candle holder type candles, never a jar candle. Not saying it can't happen, but they're pretty safe.

ETA: this is if you're not stupid about them. My candle is never near curtains or anything that could blow into them and catch fire, they're not in a place where people could bump into or knock them over, etc. don't leave the house or fall asleep leaving them burning.
Though, I hate to admit it, I have left the house for hours once or twice with a candle burning. I'm more careful now.,

Usually just on the weekends.

And I don't really burn candles anymore. I've switched over to burning tarts in my tart burner. I found with the big candles, the scent doesn't last as much once you burn it more than a few times. :confused3

I might go out today and buy a couple fall scents. A friend of mine posted a photo of her mantle? on Facebook yesterday and she had a Yankee Candle burning (Crisp Apple Strudel). Sounds delish!!!

Lately, about 2-3x a week, for about an hour or two at a time.

Hadn't even bought a candle in a long while, probably because I come from a candle/wax melt crazy family and was a little burned out on the constant scents. Not that I don't enjoy them, it was just all the time for so long. But now I'm out of the house and I think I started to miss it, LOL.

I love the way a candle throws scent, in a way sprays & such can't, and I enjoy the flickering light. I never burn them unattended or in a room I'm not hunkered down in.

Thanksgiving dinner and Christmas dinner, my concession to my wife.

Sorry, covered too many fatal fires caused by candles.

I burn one in the living room and have another on the kitchen island and light them a few days a week.

Yankee Candle is my preferred brand and I love getting their catalogs with the coupons for a discount. I have used about half of each of the fall candles
(Autumn Wreath and an Apple one) and have 2 in the wings when I start
my Christmas decorating.

I find candlelight very soothing. I use the big jars set on a saucer or plate and have no small kiddos and don't leave them unattended so I'm not much of a fire hazard ;)
