How Obama Got Elected

Some may consider this propoganda, but it's SCARY! We have some uneducated people out there!

No Jim, it was just those 12 people. Somehow, the pollsters managed to pull just the 12 ignorant (uninformed) people out of that polling place to interview and it's not indicative of the rest of the 61,xxx,xxx million who voted for Obama.

Unlike the 52 million people that voted for Bush in 2004. They were ALL ignorant.

As I watched that clip, I couldn't help but wonder how many of those questions Palin would be able to answer.

Dear unhappy 46.2%,

It's time to let it go. Just try and move on. Why not learn a new hobby between now and Inauguration Day. Take the day off on January 20th and go to a movie or have a spa treatment. Play golf. Have a relaxing lunch. There'll be plenty of time to fuss and fume once he's actually in office.

Sincerely,
The celebratory 52.3%
:worship: :worship: :worship:

Obama got elected because it was the will of God and everyone respects that, right?.

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Push poll or not, those people are still clueless and misinformed. Doesn't really matter how they got that way.

And I love the way that one young woman rolled her eyes when she spoke Palin's name.

Does anyone else think it's kinda creepy that in the song used for the clip, the singers are chanting Obama's name over and over again?

Wait a minute! Didn't some of you say over and over again that polls didn't indicate anything and are likely slanted? And yet 12 people from goodness knows where are indicative of something?

OK....

I disagree that Palin was a reason that Obama won. Heck, one of the knocks on Palin wasn't anything she said at all, but what Tina Fey said while portraying her. 87% of those asked in that poll couldn't tell the difference. And that number I do believe.

And maybe because one of those SNL parodies actually used part of the exact same answer she gave to one of Katie Couric's questions in the infamous interview.

The OP's link represents an obviously slanted poll. There's plenty of news slanted the other way too. Regardless, the poll is meaningless because there is not a test you have to pass to exercise your right to vote.

Fortunately or unfortunately, there are people of all educational levels, backgrounds and IQ's on both sides. (You just have to remember "redneck lady Obama" to know how scary it really is.)
Pop that into YouTube if you don't know what I'm talking about.

The voting is over for this presidential election. The best thing we can do for our country is to try to build unity and calm the fears of those who are freaked out by things said about our new president elect or the state of the economy.

Zogby Poll
512 Obama Voters 11/13/08-11/15/08 MOE +/- 4.4 points
97.1% High School Graduate or higher, 55% College Graduates
Results to 12 simple Multiple Choice Questions
57.4% could NOT correctly say which party controls congress (50/50 shot just by guessing)
81.8% could NOT correctly say Joe Biden quit a previous campaign because of plagiarism (25% chance by guessing)
82.6% could NOT correctly say that Barack Obama won his first election by getting opponents kicked off the ballot (25% chance by guessing)
88.4% could NOT correctly say that Obama said his policies would likely bankrupt the coal industry and make energy rates skyrocket (25% chance by guessing)
56.1% could NOT correctly say Obama started his political career at the home of two former members of the Weather Underground (25% chance by guessing).
And yet.....
Only 13.7% failed to identify Sarah Palin as the person on which their party spent $150,000 in clothes
Only 6.2% failed to identify Palin as the one with a pregnant teenage daughter
And 86.9 % thought that Palin said that she could see Russia from her "house," even though that was Tina Fey who said that!!
Only 2.4% got at least 11 correct.
Only .5% got all of them correct. (And we "gave" one answer that was technically not Palin, but actually Tina Fey)

Isn't it sad that people remembered the wrong part. THey only remembered what was repeated over and over again on MSM, not what was actually said.

Never believe the wrong half of half the truth.

This is significant.

BO bought his way to the whitehouse. Now it's time for paybacks I'm afraid.

And lets not forget that Bush actually lost the popular vote in 2004 (and the election), but we where still told how "red" america was

Nope I am 100% sure he won the election as evidenced by the fact that he has been the president for the last 8 years.

This is a situation I find very disturbing. It first began when Bill Clinton came into office and has gotten worse since then. He was insulted and demonized throughout his terms even though the country as a whole was very prosperous and our relationships with other nations was healty.

Bush was elected in 2000 after an election many of us felt was questionable. He has served in office 8 years. Now it seems the conservatives are again not going to allow a liberal president to have a break. Many of us disliked GWB from the get go but I accepted him as my president. I did not like most of his policies and was very against the war. Again, I accepted that I am an American and will allow myself to be governed by my president and his chosen advisors.

We now have a president elect who is intellegent and shares a background with many of us. Many of us have grown up in middle class lives and struggled to obtain our dreams. Why do we have to listen to so much negative discussion about him? He was elected your president by the same laws that elected GWB. He won. Our candidate won but he is still your president too.

What is it inside some people that make them so negative if things don't go the way they want?

I don't get why you're suprised, Bush has been vilified at every turn from the begining with "he stole the election".... This isn't a new thing here, your just seeing it from the other side at this point.

As someone who did not like Bush, I did not go after him before he even became President, and after that, I only disagreed with specific issues that I did not agree with.

But there seem to be so many who it doesn't matter what Obama says/does ...some people want to do nothing but say "well you didn't agree with Bush, so now I won't agree with Obama".

Good grief I get this with my 9 and 6 year old "she got the tv yesterday first, no he did, no she did"

Except now it is "well when Bill Clinton was President" or when "George Bush was President" or "when Obama becomes President".

What good does any of this do?

I'm not one of those, you will find nothing I have writen other than Obama will be my president on Jan 20th, I did not vote for him, and I do not think he was the best choice, but I was outvoted this time.

But in the post I quoted, the poster was telling us that she can't understand why people are acting like they do, and then in the same breath tells us that Bush's win in 2000 was questionable to her, so she was apparently against him from the beginning.... you can't have it both ways.

:lmao: :rotfl2:

This is funny. All elections are brought. BO is not the first nor will he be the last to spend heavily on campaigning. What do you think Lobbyist do all year? Bush's presidency was brought and paid for by big corporations.

Many people believe that we will not get the "cream of the crop" until money is taken out of the equation.

It didn't start with Clinton. I'd venture a guess that most Presidents have been vilified by the losing side. This is nothing new. But this thread isn't about that. Why can't you acknowledge that the people highlighted in the video are disturbing? Doesn't it make you wonder (and angry) that they (or any voter for that matter) can be so clueless and misinformed and how they got that way (and they vote)?

Or should we not EVER complain or be concerned about it and just accept it as it is?
