How Obama Got Elected

If this does not cause great concern in our country, nothing will. This interview could have been done with McCain supports also. This is the state of our country today. We go to the polls knowing absolutely nothing..... But, I can tell you who won American Idol, or who is left on Dancing with the stars.:scared1:

HOW OBAMA GOT ELECTED

Now that the election is over, this report by John Ziegler is making some waves. Maybe because it exposes some of the Obamamania. Also because it shows how the lamestream media was in the tank for Barack Obama in this election. And also because it demonstrates the fruits of our government education system.

Now I really don't care what else you do today .. so long as you don't abuse any small animals .. but please watch this video. On Election Day some Obama voters were chosen by the producers of an upcoming documentary "How Obama Got Elected." These voters represented a cross-section: young and old, black and white, male and female. They were chosen based on their verbal abilities and willingness to express their feelings to a large audience. Listen to these people. I promise you, you will be entertained.

Certainly it was hard to judge the true nature of Obama supporters based on the random ones selected for this video ... So the Zogby people were commissioned to conduct a telephone poll to ask a greater number of Obama supporters the very same questions asked of the people in the video. Oh and one other thing to keep in mind. The people were given multiple choice answers to these questions. Even with multiple choices, here were some of the results.

94% of Obama voters correctly identified Sarah Palin as the candidate with a pregnant teenage daughter.
86% of Obama voters identified Palin as the candidate who spent $150,000 on a campaign wardrobe.
86.9 % of Obama voters though that Palin said that she could see Russia from her "house," even though the quote actually came from Saturday Night Live.
Now for some news about the candidate they were supporting ....

57.4% of Obama voters could not correctly say which party controls congress.
82.6% of Obama voters could not correctly say that Barack Obama won his first election by getting opponents kicked off the ballot
88.4% of Obama voters could not correctly say that Obama said his policies would likely bankrupt the coal industry and make energy rates skyrocket
56.1% of Obama voters didn't know that Obama started his political career at the home of Bill Ayers, an unrepentant terrorist.
Now you have a measure, for good or bad, of some of the voters who went to the polls on Election Day awash in Obamamania. Do some of you now think that there are people voting who shouldn't be allowed to vote? Remember, there is no constitutional right to vote in a presidential election. Shouldn't we be weeding some of these people off the voting rolls?

Also, here's an interview with John Ziegler by Nate Silver. Oh my is it full of bad words!

Doesn't Busch make beer?
I couldn't help but laugh out loud when I read this.....sorry, it just strikes me as funny. I think we all need to laugh a little more. I know it's tough economic times right now, but sometimes laughter takes the stress away even if it's just for a minute.

Is anyone seriously denying that the Media was extremely biased in covering the election? Not just the general but the primary as well?

Forget, FOX, CNN, MSNBC, etc. How aobut the non-cable channels, NBC, CBS and ABC. I'm sure most voters got their information from those 3.

And lets not forget that Bush actually lost the popular vote in 2004 (and the election), but we where still told how "red" america was

Re-writing history from your friends on the left. Typical.

Here are the FACTS:

Bush: 62 Million votes
Kerry: 59 Million votes

Looked pretty RED to me!

Actually it was 512 people which is statistically significant.

And the people weren't stupid, but ignorant of the facts (ignorant in the descriptive sense rather than the insult). Over 1/2 had college degrees. Almost all had HS degrees.

I agree with the posters that say this wasn't the only reason. There were a lot of reasons, including Bush, the way McCain's campaign was run (whether it was his choices or not), the way Obama's campaign was run (extremely well, I have to say), the way the MSM did not report on Obama as much as they tried to be "part of his history", etc. (Rich, much of the media over here, at least at the national level, ARE Democrats. There was one major commentator that was quoted as saying he didn't know anyone who voted for Reagon when Reagon won in 1984, one of the largest landslides in our history).

I disagree that Palin was a reason that Obama won. Heck, one of the knocks on Palin wasn't anything she said at all, but what Tina Fey said while portraying her. 87% of those asked in that poll couldn't tell the difference. And that number I do believe.
I also disagree that Palin was a reason that Obama won. I think at least part of the reason he won is because so many Americans are dissatisfied with the Bush republican administration. Personally, I liked Palin, don't agree with some of her political views, but I did feel drawn to her, maybe because I could relate to her from the standpoint of being a working mom most of my adult life, and the strong ties she has to family. You can call it silly if you want, but I sure don't think I'm the only one who feels this way.

All of this shows is that many of the electorate is ignorant about the facts and that is true on both sides of the aisle. I doubt that that will change any time soon either.

Of course not,
Media has always been biased. If you want entertaining reading, go do a little history lesson and see what was being printed during the Lincoln election.

The point is, most voters have issues that are important to them. Taxes, national security, the economy, equal rights, character, leadership ability so forth and so on. Most people vote according to their personal belief system. For me, the issues were the economy and the war in Iraq. Did I all of a sudden hear a news report saying the economy was tanking, no. My 401K and my employee laying off 1000's of people was able to tell me that. did I need an epiphany after a news story to feel we've totally bungled the job in Iraq? Nope. So I voted the way I did on these issues.

To insinuate that I 60 million people voted for a candidate just because of the media without thinking about what is important to them is beyond ridiculous.

You're probably right but it does the rest that take the time to weed through the crap a great disservice and is frustrating as heck!

This is so incredibly absurd. Here's a newsflash: Some people don't use their brain when they vote. Do you want proof? Bush got reelected in 2004. Anyone who couldn't see that Bush was taking this country down the toilet is not using his/her brain but they voted against Kerry because the Bush & Co was able to frame Kerry as snotty, rich liberal who screwed over his fellow Vietnam veterans and Bush as a good old boy rather than a draft dodging incompetent, neither of which are entirely true. Here's another newsflash: Some people who voted for Obama are not very well-informed, same as with McCain voters. Why does this surprise anyone?

I think it's time to hand out pacifiers and blankies to all those who keep whining about Obama winning. Clearly, it's nap time.

All of them?

Wasn't someone from YOUR side just complaining about using a broad brush? And you just called it absurd but went right ahead and did the same broad brushing WITH some insults tossed in there.

Nice...

Wow....I voted for Bush in 2004, and Obama this year. So, was I not using my brain? You said "anyone", so I guess that means everyone who voted for Bush was not using their brain. That's an insult. I guess we're not all as politically educated as you are.

Well, I don't know you. Perhaps I should have written "a good chunk" or "most" or "a segment". What I really wanted to say was that I think Bush got a lot of values voters in 2004, not people who were thinking from a strictly political standpoint, otherwise, I don't think he would have won. I didn't mean to insult you and I should have put it differently. I do have a hard time understanding why anyone would look at Bush in 2004 and think "Yup, I'd like another 4 years of that."

None of those "points" in the interview were false.

I looked at Zogby's actual questions, and one question was worded as such:

"Which candidate said their policies would likely bankrupt the coal industry and make energy rates skyrocket?"

I'm doing some fact checking and I can't come up with where he said these exact words, can someone point me to that source?

Thanks so much. :goodvibes

Ok. That may be true, like you said that "Bush got a lot of values voters, not people who were thinking from a strictly political standpoint", but many people, do take into consideration the values aspect of it, when voting (democrats and republican both); I don't think there is anything "unsmart" (for lack of a better word) about that. :) Anyway, thanks for responding back. I understand what you are saying.

Well it may not mean the poll is indicative but it sure does prove that those 12 people are clearly misinformed. The question is why and how many others are like them.

Approximately 66,882,218 ;)

If you can criticize any question, I suppose it's that one. The basis for it is contained in this audio: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2veGfjtOhPg He clearly states that he favors policies that will "bankrupt" consumers of coal. The question that Zogby asked then inferred, arguably correctly, that bankrupting the coal consumers would have the ripple effect of putting the coal industry out of business or greatly crippling it. And since almost 50% of our electricity comes from coal plants, supply and demand would dictate that the price of electricity would increase significantly from the loss of that segment of the power generation market or the imposition of the harsh "carbon taxes" that Obama wants if coal continues to be used to generate our power.

But if you take exception to this line of reasoning, then you can throw that question out... and it wouldn't change the general findings of the study.

You know all of the intelligent, highly educated, & brilliant McCain supporters had some of their own reasons to vote against Obama!
Here are some they gave,

"He's a terrorist!"

"He's a communist!"

"He's not an American!"

"He's anti-white!"

"He's the antichrist!"
and my personal favorite,

"He's a muslin!" ( fabric in the form of man! )

Your right, all of us who voted for Obama should have listened to reasonable conservatives when voting, now look at what happened!!
We have a terrorist, commie, illegal alien, self loathing, unholy, fabric as our next president!!!:scared::rotfl2: :lmao:

Obama won because he was the best man for the job!
If certain members of the press agreed with that, it's probably because they were watching D.C. more (than the average "Joe") for the past 8 years!!
