Holy moly! almost $500 for the 3 of us to do US/IoA for 1 day w/ the express pass! Thats about 1/4 of of the price of our 8 day WDW stay w/ hotel, food, and hoppers. Anyway could I get these tickets cheaper?

When are you going? Perhaps express won't make a difference.

You aren't going to get any discounts. I would go and check out the lines before purchasing any express passes. If you play your cards right, you should be fine. Crowds are thinning out by then. Be there before the announced opening time since the park will open about 15 minutes before they say. Head straight to Wizard World and do that. The rest of the parks should be fine as far as lines go.

If the lines are already large in the WW, then do the rest of the park first and come back to WW later in the day.

If I purchase the "1 day hopper" on the computer would I be able to add the express pass @ the park if the lines do seem long?

Yes, you can buy express at the parks. :) Express can be purchased at front gate ticket windows, a couple of podiums toward the front of the park or various shops. For Express Plus, you can choose to purchase it for one or both parks, and you have the option to use it one time at each participating attraction or have unlimited Express (use it over and over again at all of the participating attractions).

One day tix at WDW or Universal are expensive. Both parks front-load the cost so that the longer you stay, the less the cost is per day. WDW for a day would be expensive if you were planning a week at Universal. Works both ways.

::yes::

X3!
I wish we could do "only" Universal or "only" Disney on a trip. Sure would be much "cheaper" per day....but it just never seems to go over very well with the crew when mentioned. Spoiled 'em, I guess. :rolleyes1

I bought the Orlando Flex Pass for our upcoming trip. It includes US/IOA Seaworld, Wet and Wild water park and Aquadica. The pass is good for up to two weeks and it it unlimited admission to each park.
